CC’s Cottage: Indoor Pool & 2 minutes to Sandbanks

Our group of 8 (4 couples) head to PEC once every summer for an annual getaway - this was our first time staying at ‘CC’s Cottage’ and it was such a treat! The space is super spacious with a large kitchen that was great for cooking big family meals, and a huge outdoor space in the backyard where we enjoyed BBQing, having dinner outside, and having a big fire at night. There’s also a nice outdoor space out front, so many places to either gather, or find some alone time if/when needed. You can tell a lot of thought went into the furniture and decor, which is lovely, and the beds were really comfy! So was the big couch in the TV room (comfiest couch ever) if you want to wind down with a little movie night. The location was great, right by Sandbanks park (which vehicle permits were provided for, so you can visit for free, just pre-register online!) and about a 10 minute drive to Picton. We loved visiting the farmers market in Picton Sunday morning! There are some other great fresh produce stands and farmers markets nearby as well. The indoor pool was an added bonus and it was a great temperature for us to splash around in after a big day at the wineries, which are about 25-30 mins away depending on which ones you’re visiting, but it’s a beautiful drive! We also played some pool - you could never get bored here! Finally, we really appreciated how caring, responsive, and accommodating Marcy was throughout our entire stay. You can tell she truly cares :) thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay at Marcy’s place. The check in process was really easy. The place was clean and spacious, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook, we used the bbq and fire pit. We were so close to Sandbanks and could access it easily. We would recommend this property to our friends and family and surely will be back! Thanks again, Eva

This cottage in Prince Edward County had some great attractions but a few setbacks put a damper on our overall experience. The Pros: We were able to enjoy the entire place to ourselves with no disruptions from the host or neighbours. There was adequate space with enough rooms/beds as advertised. The billiards table was a great source of entertainment and the kitchen/dining area was quite spacious and ended up being where we spent most of our time. An additional bonus was the laundry room which allowed us to wash and dry some clothes during our stay. Lastly, the host was very kind and communicative anytime we needed anything which was highly appreciated! The Cons: The biggest drawback of our experience was the temperature of the pool. Simply put, it was way too cold to swim in. We contacted the host/property manager and they were very kind and responsive but ultimately we weren’t able to increase the temperature to one that was warm enough to actually swim in. We ended up using the pool maybe twice total for no more than 5-10 minutes… and it was only 1 of the individuals in our party who could bear it. This was a big disappointment as the pool was the main reason we chose this property. Without the ability to use it, the overall value of our stay was not worth the price. Additionally, the condition of the space was poorer than the photos would indicate. Although a number of areas had been renovated, the overall atmosphere felt incomplete, especially the main washr…
