Clean house inside. Plenty of room. Pond needs some cleaning up!

A cabin-like property, nicely appointed (with soothing color palette), overlooks a pond in a wooded area tucked away in a conventional neighborhood, but once there you feel as if you have travelled a distance to a tranquil and secluded spot. The pond has big-mouth bass, crappie, and possibly lake trout. Turtles are visible, and we had nightly visits from a flock of waterfowl. Our party caught (with release), 3 bass, the longest nearly10 inches long. The location was a convenient one, and close to any needs. We enjoyed our stay, very relaxing!

Overall the property was acceptable. The grounds were serene but close to restaurants and stores. The house was beautiful inside with ample space for our family of 6 adults and two toddlers. The one thing that was disappointing was that it was not well appointed. The towels were very thin, the beds crinkled when you rolled over (needed mattress pads), and simple things like paper towels and trash bags were missing. When I texted the manager, he apologized and sent someone right away with those products, which was nice. I probably would not stay again, because when I travel, I prefer to stay in places that are better appointed. Our favorite part of our stay was relaxing on the deck watching the geese, turtles, and herons around the pond. We even had a fox run through the property. Definitely a nice setting.
