About this apartment rental
With the beach on the other side of the road, this comfortable 1 bed/1 bath unit with spacious private courtyard ticks all the boxes for a relaxing stay.
Stylishly renovated with awesome kitchen, boutique bathrooms, comfortable beds and great transport options. You have peace and quiet when needed and easy access to the town centre and train station for food and shopping options.
As the unit is tucked in behind Unit 1 it is nice and quiet and the backyard is a peaceful haven with timber decking, gardens and privacy.
As you will see from the photos, this property is not just one or two streets away from the beach it's practically on the beach (in fact when the wind blows hard we get sand in the front yard!) It's a very popular beach with kite surfers and swimmers alike and like most beaches has different characteristics at low and high tide.
You have exclusive use of the unit which has a full kitchen with usual facilities including coffee maker, lounge, outdoor living area, off street car parking for one car, WIFI internet access.

Barbecue is available (extra cleaning fee of $20 will be charged if not left in clean condition)
If the property is left in a poor state of cleanliness then a cleaning fee will be charged.
A portable cot is available however must be requested. Linen for the cot is not provided.
Parking for one standard vehicle is on site and there is a great train service from Altona station which is in Zone 1 and requires a Miki card, there are also various bus services available.
Access to the centre of Altona (Pier St) with its modern eateries/cafes/supermarket/specially shops and Tuesday Market is easy via car or a short walk of 10 minutes, there is a zone 1 train station a further 2 minute walk up Pier St for easy access into the city or other areas such as Werribee/Geelong.
Getting to/from the Tullamarine airport can be done via taxi or by using the shuttle bus from the airport to Southern Cross station and then taking a local train service to Altona Station and either a taxi or 10 minute walk to this property.

The directions for starting the Gas heater are not clear. Instead of reading "Do not turn past Pilot" the instruction should read " Do not turn the black nob anticlockwise past Pilot over the white line"
When we opened it up the word pilot was out of sight at the back of the black nob, so the instruction was a big puzzle.

Loved being close to the beach and having a clean, comfortable place to stay. Whenever we weren’t visiting with family, we enjoyed walking and exploring the beautiful Hobson’s Bay area. Black swans, Australian Pelicans, Cormorants and many other bird species could be seen on our walks along the esplanade. We took a short bus ride to Altona Badminton Centre at Paisley Park where we could play indoor Pickleball with friendly people. We love to cycle and would have rented bikes but there weren’t any shops nearby to rent from. The trains and buses were easily accessible but getting to and from the airport with luggage would have been a challenge. Thankfully, our daughter drove us as we didn’t want to rent a car. We would definitely stay at Altona Beach Haven again. Thank you, Noel and Erin for being wonderful hosts who were always quick to respond to any questions we had.
