Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It’s a wonderful view, so close to town, but here are some things we wished we would have known ahead of our stay…1. There is NO ventilation in the basement. We all have allergies and two have with asthma, so the basement was just very stall. No air movement other than fans. It does stay cool-ish (which we were told via text when we arrived) but not comfortable. 2. It really needs a DEEP clean. We had a cleanliness issue when we arrived in the basement bathroom. It was full of black mold, however, with no proper ventilation, that’s a no brainer. The black mold was remedied, which was great. However, there were many times I was walking on the carpet and found a dead bug… that was crunchy because it’s obviously not been vacuumed well. 3. The dishwasher does not dry. So bring extra towels because you’ll be hand drying the dishes coming out of the dishwasher. 4. Also, there was a creepy amount of the closets locked. Every closet in the basement was locked. When you’re sleeping right next to a closet, it would be nice to just double check what’s next to you!Here are the positives:-plenty of silverware and cookware-a great amount of spices-gorgeous view -lovely landscaping-nice it has a garage-huge utility room -every room has a smart tv, which was great The dust pan was broken, so we bought one from Walmart and left it — enjoy! Overall, we enjoyed our stay, other than sleeping we stayed in the upstairs or outside because of the lack of airflow downstairs.
