About this cabin rental
Our bungalow style cabin has 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed, a bathroom with a double shower, a large open concept kitchen/living room and a natural gas fireplace.
It is located on a 13 acre pond beside The Great Canadian Barn Dance, which is 1 hour from Lethbridge and 30 minutes from Fort Macleod, Pincher Creek, and Waterton Lake National Park.
Non motorized water sports are allowed on the lake, so you can bring a canoe, kayak, paddle board, etc. It is also great for skating/pond hockey in the winter. Swimming is not recommended. 5 minutes down the road is Cochrane Lake which is ideal for fishing. 10 minutes down the road is Waterton Reservoir which has a beach for swimming. There are plenty of hiking trails within a 30 minute drive.
The lake is shared with The Great Canadian Barn Dance which at one point hosted music camps, water sports camps, and other events throughout the summer. (Currently closed since Covid - unsure if it will reopen)
This property is pet friendly EXCEPT for cats as our family is allergic.

Great cabin in a quiet area. Cabin is set up well and was very comfortable for our family.

This was an anniversary getaway for a few days. The deck had cobwebs and bird droppings on it, the counter, table and stove had to be wiped down, the bathroom garbage had not been changed, dirty towels by the washer/dryer, there were previous guest's hair on the clean facecloths, the internet was terrible when trying to watch a movie at the end of the day and there was no hair dryer. Not the type of experience we are used to.
