Pelican Reef 703 Beachfront Penthouse with Ocean and Sunset Views

Beautiful view. Neighbors in building were very friendly and congenial. Loved the beach next to the condo.

First of all, let me say that our host, Jennifer, was awesome. She was very reliable, and took care of any problems immediately. The condo itself is beautiful and spacious, with 2 large balconies and amazing ocean views. There are also many extra amenities that we were not expecting like beach chairs, towels, coolers, etc So we were very happy with the condo itself. The only problem we had was to get the key you were given instructions that the key was in a drop box on a pole along the entrance. There were 2 poles with drop boxes and many were broken and unlabeled, so we had a little trouble finding ours. I did let Jennifer know and she said she would take care of it. The beach in front of the condo is very rocky, but there is a sidegate that leads to a small beach area that the water is swimmable. The water does start out calm in the am, but the current picks up in the afternoon. The only reason I gave 3 stars to the property nearby is because to the right of the hotel is a partially fallen down house and another collapsed building which is your view when you are out in the water. There also is not really a way to walk along the beach which we normally like to do. So if you are looking for a quiet more secluded beach, then this is for you. If your looking for one that is more active, with lots of nearby activities, then this probably is not the place. So all in all, we really enjoyed our stay, except the water is not the Caribbean blue that we were expecting

Beautiful property and condo (balcony wow) pool grounds exceptional and beautiful beach with palm trees. It exceeded our expectations. The condo had luxury towels and bed linens. The king size beds were very comfortable. AC worked excellent in the bedrooms. I wish we had 2 sets of keys for convenience but that’s my only suggestion. Very safe. Highly recommend. Got to snorkel 40 yards right off the beach. We had an amazing family vacation here at this special condo.

The kitchen was well stocked, one of the best supplied rentals we have stayed at. There are beach chairs, and beach toys along with a nice cooler. The bed downstairs is super comfortable. The air-conditioning works very well. Our first night we could not use one of the bedrooms. There had been tile work done prior to our stay and the sanding left a very heavy layer of dust every where. We could not stay in the room breathing the dust. We did call and someone came to clean it the next day but it ruined our evening. The lovely pool pictured is under construction and not available. We were not notified of this, and in speaking with one of the workers this project started before the hurricane. This too ruined the plans we had for our grandson. The access to the beach is very risky and anyone with small children or older people with mobility issues the beach access is not safe. We did receive a monetary credit, but in our opinion it did not compensate us for all of our disappointment. This unit once all construction is complete is very nice, but for now they need to clearly advertise.
