5/5 – Perfect Weekend GetawayWe had an amazing weekend at the Firefly Guest House. The location was perfect—only about 20 minutes from the city, yet it felt completely secluded with gorgeous 360 lakefront views. It was an ideal spot for our group, with kids ranging from 7 to 15, plus our dogs who loved the space just as much as we did.The included kayaks and paddle board were a huge highlight and kept everyone entertained. Having Bozo’s Bait Shop within walking distance was incredibly convenient, and Mrs. Robin was wonderful—she provided all the information we needed and made sure we stayed fully stocked with firewood throughout the weekend.The cabin itself was perfect: very comfortable, clean, and fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. The surprise s’mores package was a huge hit with the kids every night. We especially loved waking up to sunrise views through the beautiful open-concept windows.Evenings by the lake with a fire, playing corn hole, and watching the kids make memories were exactly what we hoped for. We will definitely be planning another trip back—hopefully in the summer so we can take full advantage of the lake and everything this beautiful location has to offer.Highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy, relaxing, and family-friendly place to stay

Great house, host, ramp, dock and location on Lay Lake. We brought our boat and met up with family for some fishing while in Alabama. I would agree with other reviews that parking is very tight, big thanks to the host for quickly solving our issue with the family showing up. The house is wonderful and clean- thank for sharing it with us! Also, the welcome basket was greatly appreciated:)

This was a perfect weekend getaway! My son got married at Crest Farm Barn which was 30 minutes away. The host left snacks on the bar. That was a nice personal touch. Fully equipped kitchen. Upstairs bed was very comfortable. Grandsons loved the kayaks. Yes, you do go through a small rv park but well kept and didn’t distract from the experience.
