Steps to the LaFitte Greenway!
North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here. This home is ideally located within close proximity to numerous New Orleans landmarks, including Jackson Square (1.6 Miles), Caesars Superdome/Smoothie King Center (1.3 Miles), City Park (3.5 Miles), and Lafayette Cemetery No. 1 (3.3 Miles).

Morning light spills across the front porch here, the Lafitte Greenway stretching out just beyond the railing as the Mid-City neighborhood slowly wakes up. By evening, that same porch becomes the spot for a quiet drink before you head out to explore everything this part of New Orleans has to offer. Classic architectural details meet comfortable, everyday living throughout this home, making it an easy base for a festival weekend or a longer stay in the city.
Living space
The open living room is built for gathering - whether that means a slow morning with coffee or a group settling in to watch the game. A 48-inch HDTV with standard cable, Netflix, Roku, and Hulu keeps everyone entertained, and a dedicated workspace in its own room with a door means you can get work done without missing out on the fun. Central air conditioning, central heating, and ceiling fans keep things comfortable no matter the season, and an ethernet connection backs up the wifi if you need a reliable line for a call.
Sleeping arrangements
Three bedrooms hold a queen bed apiece, each fitted with room-darkening blinds for genuinely restful sleep. Every bedroom also has its own Smart TV. Bed linens and towels are provided, along with hangers and a mix of clothes storage across the bedrooms - a walk-in wardrobe, a wardrobe, and a chest of drawers - so unpacking is simple even for longer visits.
Bathroom
Two full bathrooms serve the home, each stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower gel, cleaning products, and a hairdryer. Hot water and a bath are available, and the essentials - soap and toilet paper included - are already taken care of.
Kitchen & dining
The kitchen is set up for real cooking, not just reheating. A GE stainless steel electric cooker and single oven pair with a GE refrigerator, microwave, freezer, and dishwasher, while cooking basics, crockery, cutlery, baking sheets, and a toaster round things out. Brew a pot with the filter coffee maker or cafetière, pour it into one of the wine glasses if you're feeling fancy, and gather around the dining table for meals together.
Outdoor living
Step outside to a private patio and a fully fenced private back garden - a genuinely quiet patch of grass to decompress in after a day of walking the city. Free on-street parking sits right out front, and self check-in through a smart lock means you can come and go on your own schedule, day or night.
Family-friendly features
Traveling with a baby or toddler? A travel cot and a folding high chair with padding, straps, and a food tray are available upon request, and babysitter recommendations can be arranged. An in-unit washer and dryer make packing light for little ones a lot easier, and with no stairs in this single-level home, it's a comfortable layout for all ages.

Host was responsive from the booking to the leaving.House was pretty clean, floors were dirty, bring slippers to wear when at home…Kitchen was useful. Drip coffee maker. Plenty of products, may have to buy TP pending how many are staying with you.GREAT location for walking. Bagels, coffee, and a brewery just a block away.Whole Foods was 3 mins away. Parking right out front if you have a car. Would definitely stay here again!

The house was located in a great part of town. Close enough to walk to key locations but far enough away that it was nice and quiet. It was well appointed and clean and the host very responsive. We had an issue with the neighbor next door playing loud music after 1000p but the host stepped in to help get the music turned down eventually. All in all a great stay!

The place was perfect for our girls weekend! It was just a 10 minute walk to Canal St where you can catch the trolley. There is a great bagel and coffee shop just a few blocks down. We were able to walk during the day and feel completely safe. The beds were super comfy. Everything seemed brand new in the unit. The only negative was that we could've used more fresh towels. We only had two in the master, and with women - we typically use two towels per person. Would definitely book here again!

This adorable home was just as described, with a comfortable living area, 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 full baths! I was even able to enjoy my coffee on the porch in the morning. The location was great - quiet, safe, and easily accessible by cab to the French Quarter and other locations (walking and public transportation are an option, but it was hot and just as easy to split a cab). Also, Whole Foods within walking distance!
TV, Netflix and air conditioning worked great, and clean towels and bath products were in strong supply. The beds were comfortable, though there were definitely protective plastic coverings under the sheets that made for sleeping “hot” and a bit uncomfortable. I understand the owner's desire to protect their property, but for 3 responsible adults in their 30's, it was overkill.
The home was certainly clean, but the owner may want to check in from time to time to ensure the cleanings are up to their standards - some things could have been dusted a bit more, there was some residual soap scum and buildup in the shower head, and a couple of random items left in drawers that were obviously from previous visitors.
But all in all, would definitely book again and recommend! If you're looking for a quiet and comfortable space with easy access to the French Quarter, you've found it!
