The furnished one-bedroom hotel-like apartment features a solid commercial entry door, deadbolt & security latch, laminated glass windows, and commercial grade interior fire & sound-rated separation walls—dual tankless water heaters. Two mini-split head units in the living room and bedroom provide unmatched climate control. Fill the refrigerator, load the Dishwasher, make a meal in the microwave or cook a home meal on the stovetop; we provide all the essentials in the cabinets. When facing The Rosalie, enter the drive aisle on the right of the building, look for our "Welcome Please Enter Here" sign. Continue to the back lot, where you will see seven parking spaces. Please only use two spaces. (If you have guests or additional vehicles, parking on the street is limited to 2 hours, Mon-Sat, and unlimited parking on Sunday.) There is also a van-accessible parking space.
Once parked, face The Rosalie and head toward the ramp-accessible rear porch; suite Three will be on your right. Look for the door with the sign "Suite Three" and enter your code to complete our seamless self-check-in process!
Keep peace of mind while you're home or away as The Rosalie's, Ring security cameras border the exterior and are constantly recording video and audio. In the Kitchen of each suite, there will be a Minut decibel monitor. We ask that sound in each unit remains at a respectable level. Please keep in mind these systems only monitor decibel levels and do not record sound. Our goal is to ensure quiet enjoyment for all guests.

This place is SUPER convenient to the hospital (6 minute walk) and in a very safe neighborhood. My husband and I stayed here while a family member had an extended stay at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. There are several restaurants within walking distance and easy access to the Elizabeth River Trail for exercise. There is a supermarket and other restaurants within a five minute drive. There are four units but we were barely aware of other occupants. The kitchen is pretty basic but met our needs for quick meals. There were plenty of starter toiletries. If circumstances arise, I would definitely stay here again. I felt VERY fortunate that we found this reasonably priced apartment so close to the hospital!

The suite was nice. It was hard to work the television in the bedroom I never got that to work. I didn’t quite understand the heating issue because the weather was cool and I couldn’t get the heat on correctly. I tried to call someone to help me with the stuff, but nobody responded to me.

The host did not communicate with me until after we had checked in and was having a problem getting the AC unit to work. I had sent three previous messages and a phone call with no response (that was a little disappointing).
When we checked in the room was hot and the unit would not work. Finally the host contacted my by email with a few suggestions to make the unit reset. Eventually it turned on, but the unit in the bedroom was not working properly for that first night. My husband and I slept in a pretty warm apartment.
In addition to being hot, the bed was not at all up to basic standards. One side of it is completely caved in. It has an obvious dent in the mattress. My poor husband slept on that slope and woke up with back pain.
The neighborhood was good, the parking was free and the shower was amazing. This cute little place has a lot of potential, but some work needs to be done in order for it to score 5-stars.
