This is an adorable, stand alone cottage type rental with bedroom on second floor. Very easy walk to public beach access, 10-15 mins to some shops and restaurants on 98. It was clean with a comfortable king bed and a beach shower outside. Very quiet (construction all thru the area but didn't disturb us. The area felt safe. Good water pressure in both showers. Communication with host was easy and timely. Easy improvements - we couldn't find the advertised toaster; the sofa was fairly uncomfortable for evening TV watching (hard springs). Lighting to the steps for upstairs was very dim. More hangers in the bedroom closet would be helpful. Overall we really enjoyed our stay in this area and unit. It's much quieter (late May) than nearby rosemary beach, which has all private beach accesses and mostly private condos that block you from reaching many destinations. GPS walking directions don't work well there. The beaches are stunning and not overly crowded early in the morning.

Decent place, loved the easy walk to the beach. Only thing we didn’t particularly like was the bed/matteess, it’s one of those where you can adjust both sides to tilt up etc so there is a big crack down the center of the bed. Some people might enjoy that style, just wasn’t our cup of tea. Rest of the house was pleasant.

My husband and I visited the sand piper for our baby moon. Upon arrival our access code did not work, after finally getting it touch with the management company we got into the property. It was extremely dirty. Walls were covered in stains, sofa as well was covered with stains, so dirty we refused to sit down. I had to place a blanket over the sofa. Dish washer was full of unwashed dishes that had soured. Dirty sheets!!!! The only thing I have good to say about this property is the location. The location is perfect - literally in walking distance to the beach. I am not one to write reviews but based off of previous reviews I felt mislead. I wish I would have known this before arriving!
