About this villa rental
Jewel Villa is a fully equipped, luxurious 3-bedroom home on a hill. It offers breathtaking 360-degree views of San Jose, Mount Poás, and Downtown Atenas, including the Central Valley.
Whether you are admiring the expansive views from the cliffside solar-heated pool and gas-heated jacuzzi, relishing a scenic stroll through the safe gated community, or enjoying the sunrise, sunset, and nightfall from the two outdoor decks.
This fantastic home is your idyllic getaway to restore and reset in Pura Vida paradise. It is only 15 minutes from the local bars, restaurants, and farmers' market. A scenic drive to Jaco Beach, rainforests, and volcanoes is nearby.

The villa is built on a 1.4-acre Roca Verde plot amidst a newly blooming tropical garden and fruit trees. The home comfortably sleeps six guests in spacious bedrooms (one king master suite, one king guest suite, and one queen guest suite); all bedrooms have air conditioning. There are three private full bathrooms with a 24/7 solar-heated water supply.
The master suite has access to the large private deck and mountain views. The highlights of this home are the open indoor and outdoor living and kitchen areas, which feature a traditional Costa Rican-style wood ceiling and brand-new, luxurious furnishings.
The home has a 65-inch flat-screen smart TV, high-speed internet service, and kitchen appliances.
Our property management team, Klaas and Sandra de Graaf, a multilingual (English-Dutch-Spanish) couple from the Netherlands, are ready to welcome you to Jewel Villa and will do everything possible to make your stay a great success.
As an additional service to our house guests, they offer a fee-based airport pick-up and drop-off to help you avoid the potential hassles involved in the transitions into and out of your time in Costa Rica (great especially when you have late travel plans, but a nice comfort to have in any event). They also provide car rentals (delivered to the house) and tours to all corners of the country, including the Poas and Arenal volcanoes, La Paz Waterfall Gardens, a private Catamaran Sailing tour, a visit to an Organic Coffee farm, all kinds of adventurous activities (f.e. zipline, rafting, ATV, horseback riding, fishing, sailing, hiking, etc) and tours custom made to our guests' requests throughout Costa Rica.
Pamper yourself and arrange with our managers for grocery delivery (stocking the fridge upon arrival), catering, a private chef at the house, wellness treatments, and more.

Weekly cleaning is included for guests who stay longer than 10 days. Our wonderful housekeeper, Isabel, is excellent.
The standard rate is based on two guests, allowing us to offer a competitive price for couples. Extra guests are very welcome for an additional $15 per person, per night.

This is a beautiful property, even better than we'd hoped for. The house is spacious, well laid out, well-equipped and comfortable. The kitchen has every appliance and extra you could want. The view, magnificent. Breathtaking at night. Sandra and Klaas are perfect hosts, absolutely the best. This was our first trip to Costa Rica and, of course, Jewel Villa. We wish we would have found this place 10 years ago.

Amazing place! The pool, the views, the amenities, everything was great. Sandra and her husband were very attentive and kind. All questions or requests were answered really fast. Great communicationAtenas is beautiful and the food at the restaurants near by simply delicious.

We started our first ever Costa Rican adventure at Jewel Villa and it was a phenomenal experience. What drew me to this property was the pictures of the house itself and the amazing views/amenities. As amazing as the pictures are, the experience of the property is far greater than what I had expected. It was so peaceful and beautiful up there. My whole family of 5 (including 3 teenagers) felt instant tranquility there. What made this property truly exceptional though, was the property managers, Klaas and Sandra. They were just wonderful. We chose to use many of their services and all were worth every penny. Klaas was a fantastic guide and was lovely company as we explored in Costa Rica for the first time. If Jewel Villa is available, book it. You won't regret it.

The home is absolutely gorgeous. The views, the location and proximity to downtown Atenas, as well as being mostly central to San Jose, Jaco, and La Fortuna. Sandra, our property manager, was very friendly and accomodating. The home had a beautiful chefs kitchen with all the dishes and cookware you can think of. The home is also located within a manned gated community for added safety. The reality though, is no matter where we were in Costa Rica, we never felt "unsafe" or uneasy. There were a few things we were disappointed with. First, the bugs. I know Costa Rica, our location in particular, has it's share of creepy crawlers and such. The home and yard/patio area and pool however, were infested with roaches. There were new dead roaches (some alive) inside the home on an hourly basis. We were constintely finding them in our rooms on the floor, in our bathrooms, on the kitchen floor, outside on the patios, pretty much everywhere. Spiders were also an issue. One afternoon we came home and there were at least a dozen or two little worms sitting on top of the bed comforter in the master bedroom. No idea what kind of worms they were or where they could have come from. One night, the roaches and bugs crawling around outside on the patio area was so bad, we could not sit out there. Lastly, there were a few occasions where Sandra either did not respond to our texts or the response was very delayed. It only added to our stress on the day of check-out.
