About this cabin rental

Shipping Container home which is closely located to all that Old Mans Cave has to offer. We offer 3 rooms with Queen beds, luxury bathroom, 2 living rooms with smart TVs, a fire pit and a hot tub on a large deck with a view for miles.

We've taken feedback about the well water and odor seriously and have addressed it by professionally installing a water softener and filtration system. This has significantly improved both the water hardness and smell, ensuring a cleaner, more pleasant water experience for any guests at the Hocking Hoot

Our family enjoyed our time at The Hocking Hoot! Everything was just as pictured and the home was spotless. The host responds quickly and was able to accommodate check-in arrangements for my aging mother. There were plenty of games and activities to keep our 6 and 9 year olds busy. We especially enjoyed the fire pit, two living areas, and fully stocked kitchen. I highly encourage others to book as this was the perfect place to unplug and connect with family/friends.

Adorable place. The kids loved the game room. I liked the ease of checking in and out. Saw so many little animals on the property. Nice towels provided and beds were comfy. Only small complaint was the grill had no propane and the hot tub was little low on water and burned our skin so maybe the chemicals were off. I am sure it’s difficult to manage with people in and out.

We had a great stay and everything was as advertised. Nice property, very clean, two nice size tv's for relaxing at night after a fire or hot tub. The kids enjoyed themselves and said they would love to come back. Nicely located between town and the state park hot spots for hiking.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Hocking Hoot. It’s about 5 mins from Rock house which was our families favorite! 20 mins from ash cave and old man’s cave.Hocking Hoot was fun for our kids with the video games, game boards and camp fire! We loved hanging out in the hot tub as well. I would highly recommend 58 West to eat…it’s about 20-25 mins away but well worth it. Justin the owner was wonderful…communication was great. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Justin for the hospitality!

We stayed for 2 nights and it was great for our family of 6. Bedrooms are small but work great. No box springs, just mattresses. The bathroom was very large and nice. Great supply of hot water, as we used the shower a bunch (before and after using the hot tub). The hot tub was a great feature. Fit 4 people, but water level seemed low. Barley over the top of the jets. The kitchen was nice, only 3 seats to eat but we use the adjacent living room as well. Decent amount of accessories for the kitchen but missing any cookie trays for doing frozen pizza. Outdoor propane grill was a nice bonus. There were some ants in the kitchen along the sink. I think we got most of them cleaned up. Garbage cans were empty and tipped over at the road so we brought them back up to the garage. Overall a nice place and we would go back again.

Visiting hocking hills for the first time, I had no idea what to expect but this place was better than I could have ever imagined. The only I wish there was is access to a washer/dryer and something to dehumidify the downstairs room. But everything else was immaculate, definitely stay here!!

Property is short drive to all the hiking areas in Hocking hills. We hiked all day and then checked in and used the hot tub first thing. So relaxing! Perfect after hike activity! Kitchen had everything we needed, great bathroom and comfy beds. We also built a fire in the great outdoor fire pit area. Enjoyed our stay very much. Would definitely stay again!

The property was lovely. We were unable to use the hot tub or fire pit due to the rain but that didn’t dampen our stay. The house was very well appointed, awesome design and decor and the bathroom was lovely. We felt cozy and warm in a cold rainy day. The kitchen was great and offered plenty of space for food prep. The beds were comfortable and the place was spotless. We appreciated the message board and ease of checking in and out. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Great place! Hot tub and inside was clean and as pictures showed. Enjoyable for entire family ranging from 3 to 36. My only critique is the beds are not that comfortable. But all the other factors were great. I would rate 11 out of 10 if that one thing was updated. Thanks for the stay.
