UPDATE ON POPPY'S PLACE! WE ARE ALMOST DONE WITH RENNOVATIONS, JUST DOWN TO SOME FINISHING TOUCHES AND WE HAVE TRIED TO BUILD BACK FROM HELENE BETTER THAN BEFORE. NEW BLOWN IN INSULATION AND HARDIEBOARD PANELS HAVE THE HOUSE AIR AND WATER TIGHT. A NEW LIFEPROOF FLOOR, NEW CABINETS AND ALL NEW APPLIANCES. WE HAVE A NEW AND MORE POWERFUL AIR CONDITIONING UNIT, NEW PAINT AND REMODELED BATH ROOMS, WITH ALL NEW FURNITURE. WE ARE STILL WORKING ON DOCK AND OTHER EXTERIOR UPGRADES, BUT WE WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR BOOKING STARTING JULY 1ST. FOR THOSE GUESTS ATTEMPTING TO RETURN, THANK YOU FOR ALL THE KIND WORDS AND NOTES, FOR ANYONE NEW OUT THERE THAT HASN'T BEEN TO OUR PLACE, YOU CAN LOOK AT THE EXISTING PICS ON HERE, BUT STAY TUNED FOR ALL NEW PICS IN THE NEXT COUPLE WEEKS. Nestled in a natural Florida Hammock, Poppy's Place resides in one of Steinhatchee's most sought after neighborhoods. The old Florida setting is the perfect balance of seclusion and relaxation while being close to all the local amenities that Steinhatchee has to offer. This unique property, built partially on natural Limestone Rock, has 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in main house and 1 bed and bath in the finished but separate garage and can comfortably sleep 13. The main house has an upstairs Master Suite with a king and a single day bed, the downstairs bedroom has 2 Full Beds, and 2 full size couches in the living room. The completely remodeled Kitchen and dining area also has seating for up to 13 and you can gather in the comfortable living room area enjoying the smart TV over the Fireplace or the large screened porch allowing for plenty of room to sit, eat and socialize with friends and family. The detached but fully updated "Shark's Den" has 2 Queen Beds and a futon and a Full bath and kitchenette. The outside has a driveway to accommodate several vehicles, a cozy fire pit area, outdoor shower and grilling area. There is also a Dock in our backyard canal, connecting to the Steinhatchee River with Gulf Access, which is a great area to relax. The dock behind the house is on a canal with 2-3’ depth at low tide and there is no longer a fixed bridge. For larger boats or multiple boat guests We do have a neighbor across the driveway that has multiple dock slips on the main river available for rent for an additional $50 per night charge on a first come first serve basis, this is an amazing benefit... beat the boat ramp and see Steinhatchee like a native!

This property is beautiful. My only complaint is it DOES NOT have direct water access. I felt this is misrepresented in the listing. It just says if your boat has a t top that you can not get under the bridge. This is NOT true. The only thing getting under this bridge is a kayak or canoe. We needed the direct water access as we had family with a baby and exiting on and off the public boat ramp is CRAZY during scallop season. I would not stay again only due to this fact. If you do not need the access as I said property and house were beautiful and comfortable for a family gathering.
