About this house rental
Located in the "Pelican" complex, this renovated 3 bedroom home is very unique. With a view overlooking the pool, this home consists of a 2 bedroom ( queen and 2 twins) and 1.5 baths plus a seperate detached "inlaw suite" with 1 bedroom ( Queen), kitchen with full size fridge and stove and one full bath.
This home has been totally updated and is perfect for larger families or extended families. Both units have full kitchens and is perfect for entertaining. Ammenities such as smart TV's, internet, coffee makers, beach chairs and beach towels are included. This property is located just south of the enterance to the Palm Island Resort. Overlooking the community pool, this home is located directly across the street from the beach and also features dock located on the Yacht Basin which is deep water with no bridges to get to the ICW or Gulf of Mexico
Have you vacationed on the island before? Palm Island a.k.a. Don Pedro Island, is a barrier island 7 miles long between Sarasota and Ft. Myers on the Gulf coast with sugar-sand beaches, beautiful harbors and lagoons, great fishing and shelling only accessible by a short 10 minute car ferry or private boat. Our beaches are some of the most pristine and quiet in all of coastal Florida. There are no high rises blocking your Gulf views, unpaved sandy roads, and a relaxed "Old Florida" atmosphere. There is one restaurant called the Rum Bay that serves lunch and dinner. The car ferry runs continually from 6:30 am until 10:00 pm from Sunday through Thursday and until 11:00 pm Friday and 12:00 midnight Saturday. You drive your car onto the ferry and then directly to your vacation rental home. It's a very special place to vacation. We have kayak rentals and golf cart rentals for your use during your vacation. All of our properties on Palm Island require a ferry ride to get there. One round trip on the ferry for car and passengers costs $55. The alternative is to purchase a book of 10 round trips for $380, or $38 per round trip. For more information on the ferry, google Palm Island Transit.
Pet Policy: This home is Pet Friendly home. This means that ONE dog is permitted to stay at the rental. No cats are permitted in any of our properties. Certain aggressive breeds as designated by the State of Florida and outlined in our rental contract are not permitted. No exceptions will be made to this policy.

Location was absolutely perfect! Beach, pool, and super close to the ice cream store! We would love to book again! This property was super easy to check in and out. Felt like we were in our own little island at the beach. Would definitely recommend!

We loved our trip! This beautiful home is across the street from the ocean access and is in the perfect spot. The island was hit by the hurricane last year and so there is some cleanups happening. The pool area had a temporary fence but was still open and beautiful. The mother-in-law suite was nice to have some extra places to hang out as we have a big family. We found over 700 shark teeth and 20 sand dollars along with lots of great shells on the beach. It was a truly relaxing and memorable stay. We bought groceries for the week prior to coming onto the island. Midweek we left for one day to do a “touristy shopping” type of day in Venice and then spent the rest of the time on the island. There is one restaurant on the island that is wonderful. The host had lots of towels and toys and boards for the beach. I highly recommend this place. Thanks!!

House had everything we needed! Great stay and set up for our family. Grandma came with us so the in law suite was perfect space for her to have away from the teenagers! Beach was only a short walking distance. Many great memories made! Definitely recommend this home for a family looking to get away!
