About this cabin rental
Enjoy breathtaking views of the Mississippi River while you relax, get cozy, and recharge in this newly decorated modern-rustic cabin situated high on the bluffs above the Mississippi River. Whether it is a family vacation, a girls/guys weekend, or a couples getaway you will enjoy the "Riverview Retreat " inside and out. Take in the views with coffee on the deck in the mornings or sitting around a campfire on the large paved patio with a cold beverage of choice in the afternoon/evenings. There is never a shortage of things to see, whether it is boats and barges going by on the river or birds soaring past the windows!
Plenty of beds to accommodate a group or large family. (3 queens)
Inside we have an indoor kid's play space, featuring a teepee that the kids will love, and toys to accommodate families with younger children. We also have a pack and play crib for babies.
Our patio has a large fire pit, (wood provided) fire starter, and plenty of chairs.
A kitchen table, brand new quartz kitchen countertops, a brand new electric oven/stove, and an outdoor gas grill will give you all the space you need to stay in, cook, and enjoy meals together. Propane is provided for the grill with an extra tank in the event you run out.
A new couch with an open concept floor plan extends the kitchen space to the living room and also includes a smart TV. Watch your favorite team, sitcom, movie, or whatever you are in the mood for!
Our high-speed internet can accommodate zoom meetings, TVs, multiple phones, or whatever you may need to “plugin.”
We are not for from LaCrosse (WI), Lansing (IA), Viroqua (WI).
Bring your UTV and explore Vernon and Crawford counties, or your boat, kayaks, jet skis and explore the mighty Mississippi!
If trout fishing is your aim you should also check out some of the finest coldwater trout streams anywhere: Lansing Clear Creek at Clear Creek Park (1972 South Road on the west edge of town); Wexford Creek (1416 Great River Road) and the French Creek Wildlife Area to name a few. Check with the DNR to find which area streams are stocked on a regular basis.
There is a gas station just down the hill for misc odds and ends, there are local bars for food and drinks. Hit up the Great River Roadhouse for drinks and the best pizza around! If you need groceries or other dining just cruise across the river to Lansing, Iowa and you are certain to find everything you need and some you don’t.

We stayed in a newly remodeled cabin near Lansing, Iowa, just across the river in De Soto, WI, and had a fantastic experience. The cabin was extremely clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully updated. The views were incredible and made for a very relaxing stay.We were in the area for fishing and exploring, and the location was perfect—quiet, scenic, and close to the river and surrounding attractions. Everything we needed was provided, and the space felt comfortable and welcoming from the moment we arrived.Overall, a truly great experience. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, peaceful getaway with beautiful views

Being here over Thanksgiving, we were not able to use the beautiful outdoor fire pit, which looks amazing, but the inside was cozy warm. It was VERY windy while we were there, but the place was so well built you would have never known about the wind. Such beautiful views from the back of the house, overlooking the bluff onto the Mississippi River. We were 4 adults, 2 up and 2 down, so we both had privacy, and our own bathroom. The upper wasn’t private, as there was a balcony, but no one was up in the living room so it was great. Kitchen had everything we needed. The only thing that we didn’t know was that you can’t use tap water for the coffee maker, but luckily we had enough bottled water with us, so it wasn’t a problem. The bridge is out to go across the river, but there is a car ferry that goes across multiple times a day for free. The cabin was very clean, and tasteful decorated. I’d love to come back in the summer or fall! Thanks for a beautiful stay!

The cabin over looking the river was fantastic! The views, the wild life, seeing eagles all during the day...couldn't ask for a more relaxing stay.

We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and stunning views. The cabin was very clean and very nicely decorated. We did have to do some driving to get to biking and hiking trails, but it was worth it.
