About this house rental
Incredible 3 bedroom, 3 bath Moroccan-style beach house with beautiful hand-painted tiles and huge modern kitchen! The unit spans the first and second floors of this stylish home, mere yards away from the beach and bay. Amenities include air conditioning, 2-car tandem garage, yard, comfortable beds, all the kitchen/bath essentials, WiFi, and Netflix. Take a look at our video on You Tube. The living room features a super-comfortable couch, large enough for your entire group, and a folding glass wall that opens to a yard with a fountain and dining/patio set. The kitchen has a stunning marble island that seats 8 people. All bedrooms have smart TVs.
The unit you will be staying in is Unit A, which is a two-story unit of a duplex. We (the owners) live in Unit B, which is a completely separate unit with its own entry. There are no shared living spaces.
This lovely Moroccan-inspired home is a 1-2 minute walk to the beach and the bay. We include beach towels, an umbrella, boogie boards, beach toys and an outdoor shower so you have everything you need to enjoy Mission Beach.
The downstairs (with the living and dining area, bedroom and bathroom) is wheelchair friendly, with a roll-in shower, roll-sinks, 36" doors, etc. Please let us know in advance if a wheelchair will be used during stay so we can ensure access ramps are in place. The City of San Diego provides free manual or power beach wheelchairs a short 1/4 miles away.
A high-chair and "Pack N Play" are available.

NEIGHBORHOOD: Mission Beach is a lively beach town with miles of boardwalk, hip shops, restaurants, bars. The home is 1/4 mile from Belmont Park -- a beach front amusement park with a historic wooden roller coaster, mini golf, bumper cars, rock climbing, escape room, fresh water pool, restaurants, bars and more). We are centrally located to everything in San Diego - the Airport (5 mi /10 min drive), downtown (7 mi/10 min drive), Sea World (2 mi/6 min drive), and the Zoo (10 mi/15 min drive). Bike, surfboard, and scooter rentals are within easy walking distance.
ATTENTION: This home is in a high-density neighborhood and is only appropriate for quieter groups. There is a "no tolerance" policy for excessive noise, parties or indoor smoking. Failure to abide by these policies may lead to immediate eviction without refund. Please be sure you are comfortable with these policies before renting this home.

This is one of the nicest and best-decorated VRBO properties I've stayed in, anywhere. Finishes and furnishings are high-quality, and you can tell the hosts take very good care of the home. Everything seemed impeccably clean and organized; the hosts provided absolutely everything you could want, from laundry detergent to high chairs to beach toys and coolers. Very thoughtful. The location is excellent, maybe 2 minutes by foot to the beach. One caveat: the property comes with a dedicated garage--which is great and avoids the need to find street parking. But the garage is VERY narrow. (We had to fold in the mirrors on our rental Altima to get it in.) If you want to utilize the garage, avoid renting anything large or wide, like full-sized SUVs. Excellent place to stay!

We could not have chosen a more perfect place to stay for the weekend of our son’s graduation from SDSU! Connie and Karl are gracious hosts and have done an amazing job making their Moroccan Beach style house a home away from home. Clean, comfortable and perfect location. We highly recommend them as hosts!
