Relax at our Whispering Palms ...home away from home. This is a spacious ground floor furnished 2 bed, 2 bath condo with two king beds sleeps 4 comfortably and can add a full sleeper sofa to comfortably sleep a total of 6 guests, per guest request.
The condo is situated upon an ocean bluff at the beautiful Alii Kai resort, providing trade breezes along with remarkable sunrise and sunsets views. Our condo is only a few steps to a dramatic cliff edge with crashing waves below. Beneath the bluffs are tide pools and natural lava tunnels, home to sea turtles. 5 minute drive into Hanalei.
On the property you can enjoy onsite amenities including a pool and barbecue grills.
Whispering Palms is near the world famous Hanalei Bay, golf courses (rated top 5 in the world) and plenty of boutique and resort shopping.

My family has been coming to Kauai for over 30 years, as we feel that it represents the most authentic Hawaiian vacation because of the lower population and commercialization than Maui, Oahu and Hawaii.We have stayed in dozens of resorts and home rentals over the years in Kauai, but when we rented a condo at the Alii Kai, we were hooked! Steps from the ocean bluff and Turtle Cove....can see the Ocean from the front facing rooms..... low number of guests and no traffic as complex is at the end of the road. Close to Hanalei and Princeville resorts. Relaxing! Beautiful! Inspirational!
So when the rare opportunity arose to be part of this community we jumped at the chance!

Beautiful location in Princeville, close to Hanalei, lighthouse, Hae’na and na pali coast. The property is very clean, updated and comfortable. Two king bedrooms, full kitchen, patio, access to grills and a small pool. There is no air conditioning, but we were very comfortable with ceiling fans, and regular fans. Bring ear plugs for roosters (but unavoidable on this island). We hiked Hae’na state park( need reservations in advance) shuttle was 12 minute walk from condo and they return you to your door. Way worth it. Take the earlier shuttle if you want to hike to falls it is a long, hard hike. Took na pali catamaran ride saw monk seal in cave, spinner dolphins twice, beautiful coast and snorkeled at tunnels. Great snorkeling and saw tons of turtles and fish. Even saw a turtle cleaning station. Hiked a plantation hike on private property that led to a stone dam and a rope swing. Magical. Property had beach chairs, snorkel gear beach towels and boogie boards to use. Nice coolers and even ice packs!! We picked up all our groceries at target/ Costco by airport before going to property and that was much cheaper, but Foodland is nearby. Overall I give this property an A for comfort, cleanliness, convenience. Only thing missing was shampoo, but we had our own.Picked up fresh fish behind the Dolphin in Hanalei almost every night. They have great sushi too! Wikiki pizza was a must do just for the sunset views.

Property was central to everything we wanted to see and do. Owner was quick to reply to any questions. Property was clean, with a great view of the mountains from the back patio. Pool was close and really clean. Shopping and restaurants just a few kilometres away. We prefer to eat in and it was lacking space for non-perishable, but we made it work. :-) Totally recommend!

The location was good and the view just outside the unit was great. Communication was also good. The unit was fine but dated and needs a major upgrade - bathroom tub and walk in had stains and were poorly maintained. Unit was well furnished and stocked with everything you need. Bonus was having a washer and dryer in the unit!

The condo was exactly how it is described. It’s comfortable and has everything you need. Our family of 5 stayed for 2 weeks and loved the location. Having a view of the majestic mountains from the back porch with an ocean view to your side was awesome. Not to mention it’s pretty sweet to watch the ocean from the front windows.The pool was a treat. Use of the boogie boards, chairs and umbrellas at nearby beaches was great. We loved the ability to walk to nearby gems; eg Turtle Cove, Queens Bath, Hideaway Beach (given the sparse parking).

Great location at end of the road. Late July offered both sunrise and sunset views at cliff on property. Just over a mile walk to Princeville’s best like Queens Bath, Hideaways Beach, Sealodge Beach, and Anini Beach. Stocked with beach chairs and quality snorkel gear and boogie boards for group of 6. Bathrooms in need of updating. Angie very quick to reply throughout process. .

We enjoyed the island! The condo was nice. The place was stocked with a cooler, beach towels, and boogie boards to help make beach time fun. The kitchen was stocked with every cooking tool you would need. Our kids enjoyed the toads hanging out at night. The lack of air conditioning was a bit troublesome with our sleep, especially the two times that we lost power and had no fans. We did enjoy the views from outside. The trail to Turtle Cave was very treacherous so we decided against it. We did find some other really beautiful beaches that were not crowded not too far away. It was fairly quiet and the wifi was nice since we didn’t have cell service at the condo. It was a lovely vacation and the amenities helped make it nice.

We didn’t stay much on the north side we tried to go all over the island as much as possible and we got to see the beautiful beaches and scenery. But the room where perfect for us to rest after a long day of adventures.

In general the property was clean, spacious, and well equipped with new cookware. Bedding was comfortable and bedrooms were airy and open. Though the unit lacked air-conditioning, the trade winds were usually sufficient to keep cool. Local beach access signage warned of steep/dangerous descents and surf, but wide/calm beaches of Hanalei or Puu Poa beaches were a short drive away and the on-site pool made for quick cooling swims. In general, while the unit could do with some updating, we found our stay very comfortable.

The condo exceeded expectations. Great space for myself, my husband, our 16 year old son and my mom. Plenty of space to hang out in the evening, super comfortable beds. Getting up and having coffee on the lanai was the best part…hearing all the birds and looking out on lush greenery. Highly recommend.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the condo. It was bright, roomy, and clean, and we took advantage of the cooler and chairs for a trip to the beach. A few minor upgrades would make it even better (comfier bar stools and patio furniture), but we had a wonderful time and would book again in a heartbeat. Angie was responsive, helpful, and patient with me as it was my first time booking through Vrbo. It was a wonderful place to spend our vacation and we wish we were still in the beautiful paradise that is Kauai. 🌺

Whispering Palms is a wonderfully quiet condo with ocean views. The two king size beds are a plus. Very comfy and cozy with a fully stocked kitchen to make any meal. Angie was easy to get in touch with through text. We had a great week and would highly recommend Whispering Palms !

Loved staying here and didn’t want to leave! Would return for sure. With so many choices, it was hard to choose. But I was very happy with the the final selection! We originally had another place picked out in Ali’i Kai 2, but when Angie’s place popped up, I grabbed the chance as she was so much better about communicating! Ali’i Kai 1 has more private owner occupied units and is closer to the ocean. :) The only thing it lacks is a hot tub. On days it dipped into the 60s, it may have been nice. But the pool was lovely and much less used than its neighbor. The complex is very quiet and the gardens are gorgeous. Angie’s unit was an oasis within an oasis! The colors are calming and furnishing well appointed. I don’t need the latest stainless steal appliances or granite counters, I just like a well-stocked kitchen. And Angie’s kitchen offered the best kitchenware and tools of any unit I’ve rented. The extra condiments and shampoos were helpful too. I did leave a Kauai guidebook for those interested in a book about the area. We were treated to whales thumping their tales right across from our unit. The ocean is literally steps away. Views are even better than in the pictures. The trail down to Turtle Cove is very close too but not for the timid in rainy season as the trail is steep and slick. A bungee type rope here and there helped. An adventure! At times we heard folks walking upstairs but the luxury of walking to the ocean right from the lanai was well worth it!

A lovely location with opportunities to stay put or travel around the northwest shores. No air conditioning and visited in winter so in summer must be quite hot. Winter breeze with fans was perfect. Tennis is at the Makai golf and tennis club. Not a lot of details from management in figuring this out. But tennis club staff were accommodating and helpful. Tennis close enough to walk or bike.

Really enjoyed the area and the ambiance of the unit. Kitchen well stocked and sunrise/sunsets beautiful. Two king beds appreciated BUT please add plush toppers as they are very firm. There was an inadequate amount of bath towels/cloths, only one kitchen towel and no dish cloths or sponges. However, we still enjoyed our stay as it included tons of hangers, lots of beach stuff including beach towels and we met lots of lovely people.

My husband and I stayed here for three weeks and found the condo to be spacious and comfortable and just as shown in the pictures. It has a mountain view at the lanai side and so many birds to see and hear. The kitchen and dining room have a nice view of the ocean between the condos on the other side. The kitchen is well equipped and we made most of our meals there. Needs a dish rack and kettle. Bedrooms both have king size beds and both bathrooms are bright. The shower has good pressure but needs some updating as the grout is black and floor is stained, same for the second bathroom. We were unlucky to have very noisy neighbours above us. The stomping at midnight and 2 am disturbed our sleep, that part was terrible. The directions to find the condo need a bit more detail. We arrived at midnight and drove to Princeville in the rain. We used nav to find the complex but then could not figure out how to find the unit. It was dark and there are no lights in the parking lot and none of the unit numbers are visible. Luckily another couple arrived that had stayed before so they explained and guided us to our condo. So for future renters, when you arrive this condo is in building 1 of 4 at this address. The street address is not posted so you have to trust your nav that you are at the right place. You will have to walk right to the door before you will see the unit number and will need a flashlight if it is at night like it was for us. We enjoyed our stay, the pool was great.

Thank you Angie for your hospitality and for your quick response to all my questions. Place is exactly as pictured, very spacious and clean and the price was right, specially during the holiday festivities. Truly appreciated the full kitchen, washer and dryer as well as the beach equipment which we used during our stay. Note: It is true about hearing people on second floor but Angie has no control who stays upstairs and some guest are louder than others. The place is surrounded by roosters, chickens, Nene's and seagulls. This is something to keep in mind for those who are light sleepers or who may have never lived in a apartments. If you have never stayed in Princeville, it is super green, rains often and tons of wildlife. Drive to poipu is about 1 hour. We went to Costco the day we arrived and made the drive North.

The property was great and in a prime Princeville location. We typically stay at The Cliffs at Princeville, but the price here was excellent! The battery died in the keypad deadbolt, so we had to use the lockbox and get the physical key out each time we went in and out, but not too big of a deal. Some things are aging in the unit, but overall it was great.

We had a wonderful experience in our condo that is tastefully decorated. The kitchen was easy to cook meals, we used the full-size washer and dryer and enjoyed the small patio. The neighborhood was so quiet. The only complaint was single-ply TP!

We had a lovely time at this property but it was very warm. Be prepared for the roosters crowing in the nite and no AC We also had an issue with the safe. The property manager did respond quickly but failed to mention that there was a key in the unit. This could have been resolved quickly but we spent the day waiting for the maintenance man instead of heading out for the day. We weren’t impressed. We did love the community pool, watching the sunrise and exploring the area . My hubby’s review: 1. No AC. I repeat. No AC. Sweat all night. 2. Renters upstairs sound like cattle about to crash through 3. You’ll be awake at 5:00 AM every day 4. Unprofessional manager Otherwise, clean and fully equipped
