What a day for a daydream...a Tahitian daydream to be more precise! It was warm and sunny and the gentle Gulf breeze blew friendly wishes as Pinkie pulled into The Villages at Crystal Beach. “This neighborhood is wonderful”, thought Pinkie as she entered the gate code. Boasting a resort lifestyle with a 35,000 sq. foot seasonally-heated pool with waterfall features, tiki bar, outdoor lounging and beach access….this private community sports a coveted location in the heart of the Destin area. Just 2 blocks to the stunning Gulf of Mexico and minutes from world-class shopping and dining! “It's great that they have the free tram shuttle! It is super guest-friendly and everyone seems to love it here.”
Pinkie easily found her destination at 204 Tahitian Way. Her newest guest nest had wonderful curb appeal with its Key West style shutters, brick mosaic driveway and tropical blue color. The inside was even more inviting with a soothing palette of Tahitian blue bathing the walls. With the updated furnishings and décor following a well-organized design plan of coastal beiges and browns, the flow of the home was smooth and pleasing. Pinkie noted that all-solid-surface flooring ran throughout the house and knew that was a big plus. With the main living area, kitchen and master bedroom downstairs and 3 more bedrooms upstairs, the layout would appeal to many families of 12.
The fully-stocked kitchen was well-lit, fresh and clean and looked to be a great place to gather and to prepare meals…featuring granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances. “I am imagining a Polynesian rice dish with maybe some short ribs in a Polynesian sauce,” thought Pinkie. Upstairs she found 2 king bedrooms, a bunkroom with 2 built-in twin bunks and a loft area with queen sleeper and TV...great for lounging.

The size of the house was great for 2 families. There was enough space for everyone to be comfortable. New grill and kitchen accessories are needed ASAP- simple things such as a pizza cutter or vegetable peeler were not available. Grill was rusted out and unusable. Location to beautiful beaches made the trip memorable!

I was please to find out that our home away from home was as advertised. Everything was clean and it was in a great location.

The property was as described. It was more than enough room for our party of 8. It was clean and close to the pool and a short walk to the beach. There was also a shuttle bus that would bring you to and from the beach. My only critique would be to resupply the kitchen a bit. There wasn’t enough forks for our group otherwise we had a wonderful time with our family and Pinkie Flamingo was super responsive and the check in process was super easy. We would definitely stay here again!
