Welcome to Sweet Pine, an AvantStay home!
With plush furnishings, abundant natural light, and tasteful wood finishes, this cabin has been completely remodeled top to bottom and is as charming as it is cozy. Hike, mountain bike, snowshoe, cross-country ski, or simply walk the dogs through Sugar Pine Point State Park's miles of trails that can be accessed two blocks away. Homewood Ski Resort, with its incredible Lakeview runs, is just down the road and the scenic shores of Lake Tahoe are a mile away. There's also a beautiful, 9 miles paved walking/biking path from Tahoma to Tahoe City.
Nearby Attractions: Homewood Ski Resort, Palisades Tahoe, Eagle Falls Trail (hiking), Eagle Rock (hiking and lookout point), Emerald Bay, Sugar Pine Point State Park (Nordic events of 1960 Winter Olympics), Inspiration Point Vista, Chambers Landing Bar & Grill (American), Meeks Bay Marina and Beach, Tahoma Market, and the Rubicon (world-famous 4x4 trail).

- We allow service animals at this home. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet.
- Please note that this home does not have AC.
- Due to extreme wildfire risk, any type of outdoor wood-burning fireplaces, fire pits, or charcoal grills are strictly prohibited. Violations will result in fines starting at $5,000 per Lake Tahoe short term rental regulations.
- This house uses an electric bear fence across doors and windows to deter bears that can be easily deactivated upon your arrival.
- Please note that a fence has been put up, enclosing the backyard.
- Please note our occupancy includes an additional two beyond bed count. Trifold floor mattresses and additional linens can be provided upon request.
- Please note that all outdoor furniture and amenities, including grills, are seasonal and available from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Parking details:
- The driveway accommodates parking for 3 vehicles.
- No street parking allowed.
- Violations result in fines of $1,000 and up, and revocation of the permit after three or more violations.
This home comes with a pack n' play travel crib available. A high chair can be provided upon request with at least 24hrs advanced notice. Just ask and we are happy to accommodate you and your little ones!

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.
As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.
There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.
As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.
IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 30 days require a security deposit.

Clean, had plenty of what we needed to cook for 6 adults and 2 kids, plenty of rooms for sleeping everyone comfortably and privately and close to what we come to Tahoe for.

Cabin is much nicer than what we expected from the pictures. And much more room than what we anticipated!
We hope to be able to rent again in the future.
