This authentic and original 1940's Maine Cabin on the shores of Moosehead Lake is full of the simple pleasures of the Maine Highlands. In this beautifully secluded spot on a protected cove, you can swim, fish, and admire the gorgeous lakefront scene right from your yard.

Entering this single-level cabin is like taking a step into a simpler time, with exposed-beam ceilings and natural wood walls to greet you. Yet the cabin also boasts several modern comforts such as free WiFi, a flatscreen TV in the living room, and a private washer/dryer in the bathroom. You'll find every essential in the vintage-style kitchen, a gas grill outside to sear the day's fresh catch, and space to dine both at the indoor table and the picnic table at the water's edge. After a day spent hiking, boating, or fishing, you can take in the spectacular lake view on the screened-in porch.

Beautiful view from the cabin and the property. Felt just like my great grandmother old cottage on Newfound Lake in N.H. and another cottage I stayed for two weeks on Mooselookmeguntic Lake in ME when I was a teenager. It's basic, rustic, eclectic, but very cozy and homie. As for the hum mentioned in another review, I believe it is just the refrigerator gas exchanger. Nothing to worry about. The porch screen was fixed.

We loved the location! Close to town, right on the lake! & big yard for the dogs! The deck was a bit sketchy we brought our boat. The camp was very rustic, close to ourdoorsy living as you can get! Comfy bedstamenities!

This place has LOTS of potential. Time by the water was excellent. Furniture was awful, uncomfortable, low, and ancient but beds were comfortable. Curtains were dry rotted. Electricity .... Well probably not up to code, so bring xcords and multiplugs. Mice!
