Such a beautiful cabin located high with a beautiful scenic view. The layout of this home is fun and convenient; I’d say it works better for only the immediate family, but there is plenty of beds and space for other invitees. The second floor has a nice equipped kitchen with sliding doors in living room that takes you to the big deck where we sat down, relaxed, and enjoyed the beautiful view plenty of times. There’s also a game room on the first floor that we enjoyed. The road up to the cabin is the most fun. It could be nerving for some because it is very moderate, but if you like a little adrenaline, it’s perfect. A little treat on the way up was the spotting of a momma bear and some cubs. Overall, it was a wonderful cabin, we absolutely enjoyed our stay, and had a great helpful host. Absolutely recommend this experience.

The cabin was beautiful. Pleanty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The elevator was great for taking luggage to the 3rd floor. The kitchen, living room and dining room were huge and provided lots of items to make it feel like home. We did not see any bears but were blessed with a glimps of a large cat on the road below. I would like to note that even though we did finally master getting in an out of the drive way by day 3, if your vehicle is not in good shape, or extremely large this may be a difficult climb and decent. I was able to leave my car in the guest parking at the bottom. The veiw is definitely worth the drive and the host provided driving instructions that were easy to follow.

We visited the area with two families of four and chose this cabin because of the number of beds and baths. It was exactly as described—clean, cozy, and equipped with everything we needed. The directions from the owner were clear, and GPS also brought us straight there with no issues. We brought two vehicles (a Traverse and a Trax), and both made it up the mountain with no trouble. On the way down, using a low gear was helpful, and while 4-wheel drive is a plus, it’s not required. The cabin sits high on the mountain—only a couple of cabins are above it—which makes for a stunning, breathtaking view. While we didn’t cook, the kitchen appeared to have everything needed to prepare a meal. The owner also stocked the cabin with a thoughtful variety of coffees, teas, and even some snacks, which was a nice touch. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway without heading into town daily, this cabin is ideal. We left in the mornings and stayed out until evening since the drive is about 40 minutes to Dollywood and roughly an hour to Gatlinburg with traffic. The distance was well worth the tranquility. In the evenings, we enjoyed the hot tub, playing games at the dining table, and the teen boys especially loved the game room. On our very first morning, we even had a friendly bear visitor! This cabin offered the perfect mix of comfort, scenery, and family fun. We would absolutely recommend it for a true mountain escape.

Beautiful lodge/cabin and view. Thankful for the elevator. We celebrated my Mom's 72nd birthday. She cannot do steps. 2 of the 5 bedrooms do not have doors, only curtains. We had 4 generations in the house. All were grown except the 1 year old. The game room in the ground floor had 2 windows that were unlocked when we arrived. Cathy was great to bring a fan up for my 30 year old daughter that stayed in the bunk bed room. We did not realize about the allergies (rules about no sprays and all natural cleaning products) until we arrived and my mother in law pointed out the sign on the end table. The trash situation was problematic. The bears hear people rattling with the latch and doors and come almost immediately. The bear spray does not work well on windy days. DNR states bears should not be within 50 yards of people. My father in law was intimidated by the lockbox the key is kept in. Make sure to stay within the white lines coming up the road. The vehicle my daughter, her partner, and the toddler drove up in, a Ford Escape, had difficutly coming up the road in the pouring rain.

This house was beautiful and exactly as described. The bedrooms are large and comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped for all of our meals. We had a wonderful time and it was perfect for the amount of people we had aging 8 mo to 63. The elevator was a huge benefit! We did see a momma bear with her 2 cubs and several wild turkey! There is a 12 minute drive on a curvy (mostly) one lane road to go the 2.5 miles to and from the gate. The driveway a steep u-turn that is very intimidating on the first try. Although it was everything we were looking for in a vacation home, we may not visit it again due to the location; we preferred to be home before dark for safety reasons and the teens were disappointed to miss out on some attractions. If the drive to and from wouldn't bother you, then I definetly recommend the house! Thank you for opening your home to our family.

The cabin was amazing, when it said a sanctuary for wildlife, they meant. We saw a bobcat and a cub that hung around for a little while… we all stayed on the balcony while it was on the ground… some of the family members left to do some sightseeing while the others stayed back at the cabin and my niece sent me pictures of the cub climbing upon the balcony and wondering around and looking inside, so when we got back to the cabin it was gone but we did see it up the road while we were making our way back to the cabin…. There was no mama bear.

The property is as described. The lodge was clean and spacious. The view is beautiful. The elevator was a bonus especially when bringing in luggage and groceries. I stayed with my husband and 2 teens (19 & 17). They all enjoyed the property. The kids enjoyed having their own rooms and bathrooms.

The house was very nice and clean. Plenty of room for all of us. Great weather while we were there. Easy to go to nearby towns for activities. Kids disappointed we didn’t see a bear but saw other animals. The drive up mountain was harrowing the first time. Just needed to go slow and a front seat person to navigate was great. And some of the best times were using the resort tennis court. Definitely worth going back.

The house was very clean and well kept. Aside from the evacuation due to wildfires in the area (which in no way is a reflection on the rental) in the middle of our trip the stay was very nice. It does take 15 minutes just to get in and out of the community which was a little longer than we initially anticipated. There were also ladybugs EVERYWHERE. Which is understandable given the area, just a little jarring at first.

Highly recommend this mountain retreat!!! The host was super easy to contact and very attentive going above and beyond for our stay. The cabin had everything we needed to enjoy our stay with the little ones as well. I don’t always see accommodations for babies at VRBOs such as a booster seat for eating, optional outlet covers, and baby gates for the stairs.I recommend setting aside a day to stay at the cabin; the view is beautiful, the cabin is cozy, there are all types of games and movies to accommodate every age.We are extremely satisfied with our stay and wish we would have stayed a little longer to enjoy all the cabin amenities.

This place was just amazing! The views of the mountains were incredible and the house was the cleanest of any VRBO properties that we've stayed in. The area was very accessible to groceries and going to Dollywood. We parked at Patriot Park, caught the trolley from Patriot Park which put us at the Dollywood gates. It was perfect. I highly recommend the property.

Our family group of 12 (grandparents to age 2) was comfortably accommodated in this beautiful, spacious cabin. The only downside is an initially very intimidating drive to access the property but we made the adjustment!
We would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay and the view from the top of the smokies was beautiful. We were a group of 10 and had more than enough room for everyone to have privacy. The elevator was a very welcome extra as we had elderly family that was not hindered by any stairs. We would highly recommend this property for a large family group.

Although the drive up to the property was a bit nerve-wracking, the quietness and views were amazing. The price and amenities were well worth it. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

We came in 3 cars for 3 nights. The mountain views were beautiful right off the main deck and living/dining area.
The place was very clean and accommodating. We had a wonderful time.
The drive from Sevierville to the cabin was treacherous. Very narrow, winding roads with places where the driver could not see the road. The short distance took a long time to navigate safely. We only went out once a day and made sure we traveled only in the light of day.

This cabin lives up to everything it says it is and more. The views are breathtaking, and there is plenty of room for a large group (we had 11). It is the perfect place for a family getaway.
A couple of words of caution (Cathy is great about telling you this, so listen to her): all-wheel drive vehicles work best getting in and out. Get in before sunset - there are some bad curves and steep drops getting to the property.
Follow Cathy's directions to the cabin - do not rely on GPS.
If you plan to cook most of the time you are there (like us), be sure to get most everything you need. There is a great coffee selection and a few snacks, but you will need spices and whatever you need to cook. There is a grocery store about 20-30 minutes away.
We would totally stay at this beautiful cabin again!

Loved the house. The drive up to the house caused some white knuckles but once there, it’s just perfect! The elevator was awesome as one of our party uses a mobility scooter, so he was able to get to all 3 floors. We enjoyed our time in the mountains and would definitely return to this rental!

The check-in process is horrible. We reached the Shabark gate after 2 hours (around 6 PM) from the actual check-in time, but our details were not in the system, and we waited outside the gate with kids in rain. No proper network to reach out to the agent, but after a long struggle we found a network to connect. There is no proper sign to reach the destination, a sign says " dead end no turn back" That is where we need to take a left turn. Horrible experience together. Not sure why property manager not given the details till last min :(

Getting to the house was an adventure especially the first time but well worth it. Get what you need while in town, you won't want to make extra trips but once you get there no reason to leave. Cathy was easy to community with. The view breathe taking, plenty of room, ages 11 to 67 and we laughed and shared memories old and made new memories though share in the years to come. Thanks

The travel from town up to the home was terrible. We actually had nightmares about leaving the house to go anywhere. The house was clean, beautiful, and more than we expected. The house was perfect for our family but the location really was a nightmare. In the fog, you couldn't even see if you were on the road or going off into a ravine. Going up or going down really didn't matter it was scaryyyyyyy.......
