Such a beautiful cabin located high with a beautiful scenic view. The layout of this home is fun and convenient; I’d say it works better for only the immediate family, but there is plenty of beds and space for other invitees. The second floor has a nice equipped kitchen with sliding doors in living room that takes you to the big deck where we sat down, relaxed, and enjoyed the beautiful view plenty of times. There’s also a game room on the first floor that we enjoyed. The road up to the cabin is the most fun. It could be nerving for some because it is very moderate, but if you like a little adrenaline, it’s perfect. A little treat on the way up was the spotting of a momma bear and some cubs. Overall, it was a wonderful cabin, we absolutely enjoyed our stay, and had a great helpful host. Absolutely recommend this experience.

The cabin was beautiful. Pleanty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The elevator was great for taking luggage to the 3rd floor. The kitchen, living room and dining room were huge and provided lots of items to make it feel like home. We did not see any bears but were blessed with a glimps of a large cat on the road below. I would like to note that even though we did finally master getting in an out of the drive way by day 3, if your vehicle is not in good shape, or extremely large this may be a difficult climb and decent. I was able to leave my car in the guest parking at the bottom. The veiw is definitely worth the drive and the host provided driving instructions that were easy to follow.

We visited the area with two families of four and chose this cabin because of the number of beds and baths. It was exactly as described—clean, cozy, and equipped with everything we needed. The directions from the owner were clear, and GPS also brought us straight there with no issues. We brought two vehicles (a Traverse and a Trax), and both made it up the mountain with no trouble. On the way down, using a low gear was helpful, and while 4-wheel drive is a plus, it’s not required. The cabin sits high on the mountain—only a couple of cabins are above it—which makes for a stunning, breathtaking view. While we didn’t cook, the kitchen appeared to have everything needed to prepare a meal. The owner also stocked the cabin with a thoughtful variety of coffees, teas, and even some snacks, which was a nice touch. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway without heading into town daily, this cabin is ideal. We left in the mornings and stayed out until evening since the drive is about 40 minutes to Dollywood and roughly an hour to Gatlinburg with traffic. The distance was well worth the tranquility. In the evenings, we enjoyed the hot tub, playing games at the dining table, and the teen boys especially loved the game room. On our very first morning, we even had a friendly bear visitor! This cabin offered the perfect mix of comfort, scenery, and family fun. We would absolutely recommend it for a true mountain escape.

Beautiful lodge/cabin and view. Thankful for the elevator. We celebrated my Mom's 72nd birthday. She cannot do steps. 2 of the 5 bedrooms do not have doors, only curtains. We had 4 generations in the house. All were grown except the 1 year old. The game room in the ground floor had 2 windows that were unlocked when we arrived. Cathy was great to bring a fan up for my 30 year old daughter that stayed in the bunk bed room. We did not realize about the allergies (rules about no sprays and all natural cleaning products) until we arrived and my mother in law pointed out the sign on the end table. The trash situation was problematic. The bears hear people rattling with the latch and doors and come almost immediately. The bear spray does not work well on windy days. DNR states bears should not be within 50 yards of people. My father in law was intimidated by the lockbox the key is kept in. Make sure to stay within the white lines coming up the road. The vehicle my daughter, her partner, and the toddler drove up in, a Ford Escape, had difficutly coming up the road in the pouring rain.

This house was beautiful and exactly as described. The bedrooms are large and comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped for all of our meals. We had a wonderful time and it was perfect for the amount of people we had aging 8 mo to 63. The elevator was a huge benefit! We did see a momma bear with her 2 cubs and several wild turkey! There is a 12 minute drive on a curvy (mostly) one lane road to go the 2.5 miles to and from the gate. The driveway a steep u-turn that is very intimidating on the first try. Although it was everything we were looking for in a vacation home, we may not visit it again due to the location; we preferred to be home before dark for safety reasons and the teens were disappointed to miss out on some attractions. If the drive to and from wouldn't bother you, then I definetly recommend the house! Thank you for opening your home to our family.

The cabin was amazing, when it said a sanctuary for wildlife, they meant. We saw a bobcat and a cub that hung around for a little while… we all stayed on the balcony while it was on the ground… some of the family members left to do some sightseeing while the others stayed back at the cabin and my niece sent me pictures of the cub climbing upon the balcony and wondering around and looking inside, so when we got back to the cabin it was gone but we did see it up the road while we were making our way back to the cabin…. There was no mama bear.
