The historic museum harbour with its flat-bottomed ships and small sailing boats is located in the centre of Carolinensiel-Harlesiel. It is connected to the yacht harbour via the Harle, where motorboats and sailing yachts have found their home. Just behind the pumping station lock is the outer harbour, the starting point for ferries to Wangerooge or for excursions to the Wadden Sea UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Between the three harbours runs the approximately 2-kilometre-long promenade, which invites you to stroll along the Harle and connects Carolinensiel with Harlesiel. There are also plenty of places to sit and relax here and restaurants and cafés invite you to linger. Or simply take the only paddle steamer in East Frisia, the Concordia II, and watch the hustle and bustle from the water.
Halfway along the Harle is our centre of excellence for your health, the Cliner Quelle. Based on the five pillars of the Carolinensiel health concept, the brine and adventure pool, the X-Force Sports Club, the wellness and cosmetics centre with associated physiotherapy, the sauna area and a spa and nutritional consultation, your well-being and health are taken care of here. The people of Carolinensiel also take care of your well-being and organise festivals in summer, such as the street festival or the WattenSail on the first two weekends in August. During the Advent season, a floating Christmas tree enchants the museum harbour, which can be admired at the winter market around the harbour basin.
