About this house rental
On the sunny west side of the Canary Island of La Palma lies our very peaceful
Finca Tijarafe, with breathtaking panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the mountain forest.
No through traffic! No view of plastic-covered banana plantations! 150 square meters of living space.
The finca features a well-equipped kitchen, 2 living rooms, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 terraces with patio furniture, a heated pool, and another terrace by the pool. All living areas have individual heating.
Satellite TV with many German channels, fiber-optic internet connection and Wi-Fi, book and music collection, board and card games. - Large garden area, open land with Canarian pines and almond trees.
Parking spaces are available in front of the house.
Activities:

On La Palma, 100 hiking trails of varying difficulty levels have been established.
(2)
Hikes in the remote north up to the island’s highest mountain (2,400 m) are day trips for which you must bring your own food and drinks.
(3)
In the south, there are volcanoes (the second-most recent eruption was in 1971) and a remarkable hand-operated sea saltworks worth seeing.
The most recent volcanic eruption occurred in 2021 south of Los Llanos and destroyed over 2,000 buildings. The La Laguna neighborhood of Los Llanos was completely destroyed.

Boat tours along the cliffs departing from the port of Puerto Tazacorte are available—dolphins, whales, sea turtles

Swimming in the Atlantic Ocean at Puerto Naos or Puerto Tazacorte.

The town of Los Llanos (pronounced “Ljanos”)—18 km away—features a beautiful market square and numerous shops, bistros, and restaurants

A trip to the island’s capital, Santa Cruz, is well worth it in the mornings from Mon–Sat; where you’ll find a beautiful new beach promenade, the historic downtown, a covered market, and a replica of the Santa Maria (Columbus’s ship, on which he had taken water, live goats, and fresh vegetables aboard on the neighboring island before sailing west).
