About this villa rental
Villa Alicia is a large family villa with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the beautiful views and the warm sunshine. Downstairs there are two double bedrooms, 1 single bedroom and 1 shower room, together with large living and dining area and newly fitted modern kitchen with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and walk in larder. The living room leads out onto a very large terrace complete with bar area and good size swimming pool that can be heated on request with plenty of sunbeds for relaxing on.Upstairs there are is a further twin bedroom, double bedroom and master suite with newly refurbished wet room and another family bathroom. The very large and light living room with open fire place, masses of comfy sofas and flat screen TV also has another dining table and chairs and new bar area with dishwasher and wine fridge. There is yet another large terrace area coming off the living room with outside furniture perfect for relaxing after a hard day at the beach or in the pool!The televisions have access to Netflix and other apps and free broadband WIFI: All the bedrooms have air conditioning and the living areas all have ceiling fans.This villa is the perfect place for friends or families to get together for their holiday but yet still have plenty of room to have that quiet moment to read a book or enjoy a glass of wine!Please note there can be some noise from the hotel nearby

Douche zeer beperkt voor10 mensen. Na 3 maal douchen koud water. Na een uur wachten kan de volgende weer. Sanitair master bedroom was uitstekend.andere badkamers zeer matig.
Tip! Ligbedden kopen van andere kwaliteit. Geen plastic!
Zwembadwater was erg koud . Wel erg genoten van onze gezinsvakantie.

Overall the property was spacious and we had a great holiday.
However, as a group of 12 we felt that the house was not really stocked to accommodate 12 - there are 12 beds, but there was a lack of glassware, only 1 sun parasol, a v small barbecue, and 3/4 of the bathrooms need updating. The villa would benefit from a really thorough jet wash of the patio and outside area, and sort out the accumulation of broken garden furniture/pool floats in the cupboards and old bits and pieces in the pantry.
The walk down to La Herradura is v steep and takes a minimum of 20 minutes. The walk has the misfortune of routing past the back of the large hotel next door, which constantly has its bin store open onto the path. The walk back is all up steep paths and is a bit of a chore in 40 degree heat. We had hoped that our teenagers would be able to pop in and out of the village, but this was very impractical.
Parking in La Herradura is a nightmare - seemingly no restrictions along the beach resulting in very few spaces becoming available. We resorted to shuttling ourselves up and down as the bus/taxi availability was a non event.
Overall we had a great holiday, the beach is lovely and we really enjoyed taking out a boat with sukisail (Keith), fabulous kayaking outing with Activ8 You (Dan was a brilliant guide), swimming in the sea, eating seafood on the beach....
