Our group of three couples really enjoyed our stay at the historic Nuts Castle. It was a great central location for trips to Trier and Luxembourg, as well as serving as our home for an all-day tour of the Battle of the Bulge, and and the museum at Bastogne. Although the Castle had everything needed for us to do our own cooking, we sampled the several fine restaurants in Bastogne (we particularly enjoyed Wagon), but then used the kitchen at the Castle to make our own breakfasts. Staying in the same place that the US Army commanders had stayed helped us get into the history of the area. We has a great time!

We enjoyed our stay in the historic Castle. Lots of room; we were just 3 couples, the Castle could easily house and extended family. Very interesting to learn about the upper echelon of US military that stayed at the Castle, and said, "Nuts!" when the German commander asked if the US Army would like to surrender.A great place to stay, and see the war history of Bastogne, the historic sights in Trier, and the American cemetery, and central city of Luxembourg.

Aankomst kan pas na 18uur wat niet praktisch is ivm eten, zou beter vanaf 16uur zijn. Vriendelijke ontvangst met goede uitleg. Prima comfortabele woning met veel mooie slaapkamers gecombineerd met bad/douche. Groot grasveld en buitenzitgelegenheid/terras. De zwemvijver is inmiddels drooggevallen en nog nauwelijks vindbaar dus die informatie omtrent zwemgelegenheid moet worden verwijderd. De omgeving is typisch voor Wallonië met rustige wegen, heuvelachtig, bossen en kleine dorpjes met veelal veeteelt en akkerbouw. Prima voor rustzoekers.

De accommodatie was heel goed en de omgeving is heel mooi om te wandelen. Bastogne is een heel interessant stadje om te bezoeken. De accommodatie heeft een home cinema installatie om gezellig met een grote groep naar een film te kijken. Een klein verbeterpuntje is om in die hoek meer comfortabele zitplaatsen te voorzien. Voor de rest was alles tiptop!

Excellent séjour, nous y étions dans un contexte professionnel et on s'y est vraiment bien plu. Chambres confortables, salon / séjour magnifique, cadre très sympa. Au rayon des améliorations l'internet est à faible débit (et je sais que le propriétaire y travaille, donc ça devrait s'améliorer bientôt).

Prachtig kasteel in een mooie rustige omgeving. Het kasteel ligt langs een snelweg, maar daar heb je niet zo veel last van. Het huis is helemaal in stijl van de Tweede Wereldoorlog in Bastogne. Er is veel informatie te vinden in het huis over de oorlog. Er zijn veel details die een link hebben met WOII en Amerika. In de tuin kan je een leuke wandeling maken door het pad te volgen. De communicatie met de eigenaar ging erg goed via smsjes. Ze spreekt alleen Frans, dus dat kan wel lastig zijn. Tijdens ons verblijf gingen we steeds meer mankementen zien van het verblijf. Die hebben we hieronder beschreven. Het is maar 2,5 km rijden tot het centrum van Bastogne. Op 10 minuten rijden ben je met de auto in Luxemburg. Erg mooi rijden. Ook kan je naar een skigebied op ongeveer 30 km rijden van het kasteel.

Mooie accommodatie, smaakvol ingericht, fraaie ligging in parklandschap, ideaal voor een lang weekend met kinderen en kleinkinderen! Schone kamers, leuke zwemvijver, kinderspeeltuintje en tennisbaan. Enkele spullen die op de inventarislijst stonden, ontbraken. De eigenaar schoot te hulp en zorgde persoonlijk dat een ontbrekende kinderstoel, lounge stoelen en een mixer werden afgeleverd. Heel attent!
