About this apartment rental

We always wanted a beach hut and now we have one that's high over the beautiful Tenby harbour. Sitting on the balcony watching the harbour activities is addictive. There is always someone messing about on the water, whether in a tripper boat, yacht, paddle board or just splashing about in the clear sparkling water.
The Floating Beach is a 3 bedroom apartment with two bathrooms and an additional WC.
There are numerous restaurants and wine bars minutes away, along with a Tesco express on the High Street and a large Sainsbury's 10 minutes walk away (no hills involved). The Harbour (Harbwr) brewery is tucked away at the bottom of Crackwell Street, where they produce ales with a flavour unique to Tenby.
We love Tenby and the seaside and this is evident in the Floating Beach Hut decor. The kitchen is well equipped for those that want to eat in and admire the view. There is a lift that has a holiday attitude and ascends at a leisurely speed, ideal for transporting luggage, it stops directly opposite the front door of the Floating Beach Hut.
The Floating Beach Hut, Royal Victoria Court, Crackwell Street is inside the ancient walled area of Tenby. From the 1st Monday in July to the 2nd Friday in September the area becomes pedestrianised between 11am - 5.30pm. Guests can drive around to the apartment building (Royal Victorian Court) and unload. Parking is available in several carparks. The two nearest are the multi storey (next to Sainsbury's) and the North Beach Carpark (views of the harbour), both under a 10minute walk away from the apartment. There are also two carparks on the south side and they are approximately15 minutes walk away, depending on the route taken. The longer walk is along the Esplanade and gives a full view of Caldey Island. The weekly rate is £25.00.

The most amazing place to stay, yhe appattment was very homely with great acces to the town, everything within reach, car park was the north beach car park which was reasonable price and a 10 min walk with cases. Views from apartment were amazing, we sat outside drinking wine and watching the world go by, we did have nice weather for october. Hosts very attentive and answered any questions very quickly, thank you for the milk and wine too, will be booking again later in the year, woukd higky recomend this appartment. Thank you. Lovely to revisit Floating Beach Hut .. superb location with amazing views from the balcony. Nicely furnished, comfortable beds, spotlessly clean and very well equipped with everything you need. We had a teenager and a toddler with us and were provided with a cot and high chair which was a great help. A lovely 5 day break .. wish we’d booked longer .. we didn’t want to come home! The location is amazing, also bang on the front & in centre of Tenby.The view over the beach is glorious (see photo)Everything you need for it be home from home is available - nice to have a few necessities, soap, washing up liquid, S&P etc in the kitchen. Along with a pint of milk & a bottle of wine to start the holiday off with a drink. We had a fantastic week, the accommodation is spacious, clean, comfortable and very well equipped. It is nicely decorated and very cosy. The views from the balcony are amazing.the location is so convenient for shops, restaurants, takeaways and beaches, all literally on the doorstep. Parking was easy nearby after unloading and accessing the property was easy with the key box. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again.

Great location within easy walking distance of Tenby centre, beaches & coastal path. Fabulous ever changing beautiful views from the balcony. Lovely open plan layout. I reported lift wasn’t working, which was resolved before end of our stay! I also mentioned stale smell in one bed & loud tv noise above one bedroom & the host is already looking into resolving these too. I would thoroughly recommend & will be returning another year!

The earlier review and 10 ratings for this property were not an exaggeration and it is hard to see how things could be improved. For once the photographs on the site understated the superb view from the balcony (it really is right over the beach and harbour with 180 degree views) and the size and facilities in the apartment were excellent. Location wise it is on the road next to (above) the beach and right in the middle of town, so everything is within minutes walk. Tenby itself is a lovely town that is great to explore and has plenty of places to eat and drink. The apartment is 4 doors down from one of the best Indian restaurants we have been to (and you can see if they have vacant tables outside from the balcony) but note they are BYO and also only take cash. Parking in the narrow streets is impossible, but there are several car parks and the multi-story one near Sainsburys is 5 minutes walk away (once you know how to navigate the many passages in the town) and is either 6 for 24 hours or 30 for a week - as it is pay and display you can then come and go as you want. Local buses means you can go to nearby coastal villages to walk back if you want without the need for a car (we did not use ours at all when we were there). The hosts were great - good communication and check in is easy with a key box (note the outside door is always open, so don't worry when you turn up and the door looks locked and you have not got a key!)We will be back!

We chose this apartment because of its position overlooking the sea but the stunning panoramic view across the NorthBeach Bay was better than we expected. The apartment is extremely spacious and well equipped and the lift greatly helps with access but as a person with limited mobility, the distances within the apartment were challenging. For people who can move about more easily, this is a perfect holiday home.

As a family and friends 6 of us stayed in this property, the location is great, just opposite to the beach as we have seen on the photo. There are, two bathrooms and altogehter three toilets in the property. the bedrooms are good and had all the facilities. The instructions were clearly given by Tina in time. And she was reachable ove the phone whenever we tried to contat her. She is kind. we enjoyed our trip at Tenby.

This property is the best we have stayed in, in Tenby and we come every year.Inside it’s tastefully furnished with 3 bedrooms one pays tribute to Wally the sea-lion which made us smile. Two lovely bathrooms and a separate toilet meaning each bedroom had their own private toilet area. The lounge and kitchen is really comfortable and well equipped with plenty of seating only thing we missed was that the couches are recliners but did manage a bit of a lounge on Sunday morning. As for the location wow and wow. Walking into the lounge you are treated to a view that makes you feel as if you are indeed walking into the sea. At the front of the property it is just steps to the centre of town with a handy cut through to facilitate that. But thanks to triple glazing once inside you have total silence from both people and the seagulls who can be very loud. We will definitely be back. Just amazing place.

The floating beach house was as unimposing from the outside as it was impressive on the inside. Clean, cosy, modern, comfortable and with a beautiful view over Tenby harbour. Within minutes of everything you might need (shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants) and the beach, it was perfect for a few days away with the family.We'd definitely stay here again.

Best spot in Tenby. Superb views over the Harbour and North Beach. The accommodation is right in the centre of Town, but because you are high up and back from the shops it is also really peaceful and quiet. This is our third time of staying and won’t be our last! Lift a great bonus for luggage and the eldest member, but stairs are spacious and fairly easy. too. A visitors book would have been useful with all instructions in one place along with recommendations, but a minor point only.

This really is a fantastic flat. The views are spectacular - I found it hard to tear myself away from the balcony. Even when the weather isn’t great you can really enjoy looking out at the sea. It’s a really big space, and every room is beautifully furnished. It is a very relaxing place to spend a week away. Recommend kayak trip with Tenby Adventures, and dinosaur park if you are stuck for something to do with kids on a rainy day.

The Floating Beach Hut was such a lovely place to stay during our two week holiday in Tenby. It is extremely spacious and I loved that the bathrooms and bedrooms were separated from the living area so we didn‘t disturb the sleeping children (or the other way round…?). The Floating Beach Hut is beautifully decorated and the Tenby cushions and dresser were fab! I found it interesting that during our two week stay, we barely saw anyone else come and go from the house, felt like it was just us! The FBH had everything we needed for our stay and more. The balcony is the absolute highlight. The views are out of this world and I enjoyed a couple of beautiful sunrises with my morning coffee. We were lucky to have some great weather in our first week so we ditched the TV and our holiday reads and sat on the balcony all evening people watching. The FBH is situated perfectly between the beaches and right behind the high street with lots of great pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops. You literally have everything you need on the doorstep. Our fave trips were to the Dinosaur Park, Monorbier Castle, Pembroke Castle and Caldey Island.

The property is in the perfect location for the views and also for the convenience of the high street with it many bars and shops. I adored being able to sit on the balcony and watch the action in the harbour and on the beach. There were plenty of games available and so much seating too. The property is far larger than the photos and description suggests, and it was fabulous to have a mian bathroom, additional toilet/sink and then a seperate en-suite too. The lift was so handy so accessibility was not a problem at all. Check-in and out was so simple. We appreciated the milk and wine on arrival too...a lovely touch. The main negative was the uncomfortable bed (the double bed in the triple bedroom). The mattress was an old one with metal springs and was really quite uncomfortable. We did wake each morning with back ache! If a new mattress was provided, we would certainly love to stay again. Overall, we had a super holiday and would recommend this property to others.

Everything is modern and in good shape. Super clean. Watch the sun come up and the tides rise and fall from the balcony and living room. We would not come back to Tenby unless we stayed here again. Warning: parking is 1/2 mile away, and it is therefore a 1 mile walk round trip to feed the parking meter each day.

It looked lovely before we went, but we were bowled over by the place. It is really big and airy. We loved how the bedrooms can be 'shut away' from the rest of the place and there are three toilets!! Very important with teenagers and kids around. It's extremely quiet and that view! Sat outside on the balcony (bigger than it looks) to enjoy many times a day. We've been coming to Tenby all our lives (oldest 74) and it never fails to take your breath away. The kitchen is very well equipped for a holiday let, we could have done with a couple more mugs and another roasting/baking tray, but we like to cook. A tiny niggle in an otherwise fabulous property. Glad of the lift on arrival and departure too!
