The furniture and bedding was very comfortable. The house was very spacious and we had plenty of room to move around. The owners left notes on the refrigerator and cablinets letting us know who to contact if problems and labeled the cupboards letting us know if they were ites we could use. That was very helpful

It was a beautiful space that hosted all of us almost perfectly. We were not aware that the twin beds were a bunk bed. Also, the fully stocked kitchen had a lot of issues with the appliances. Some of the utensils and equipment was rusted or just completely unusable like the grill otherwise the property was very nice and the host was very welcoming. The photos on the wall were a bit overkill, felt like we were in a museum however, personally I enjoyed the family history that was on the walls.

The check in was super easy and communication was great. The house had a convenient location and was clean. However, it’s old and outdated, especially the kitchen and bathrooms. The showers were so old and stained that we didn’t shower. Also, all of the personal photos and belongings were odd.

Perfect location! property is 20-30 minutes from so many things to do & see. Great for a visit to Hocking Hills or Wayne National forest. You will feel like you're staying at grandma's house. Well kept and clean. Kitchen could use some improvement but if you can improvise --- you're good.

So over all it was great! Country living is how we live at home, so this was very much like home. There are a few things to know before booking ur stay. Make sure you bring extra bath towels, wash clothes, bathroom hand towels, kitchen hand towels & dish rags as there were only 8 bath towels for 6 ppl for 6 days. And not the best towels I’d say, old. Make sure u bring trash bags as well, as there were only 2. And bring toilet paper, cuz you won’t have enough of that either! The water pressure isn’t the best, don’t let anyone flush toilet or use water if your showering, that will help. Outside tables were VERY dirty, so had to wash to use. But overall it was a clean, dry, cool, quiet & safe place to stay!

The property is hard to recognize from the street. No lights were on when we arrived. There is a trailer parked outside the garage, so we weren't sure if we were at the right place. The house is very comfortable. It was clean. We all slept well on the comfy beds. The yard is beautiful. The water situation bothered me a bit. If I had known that water was limited and the well could run dry during my stay, I would not have booked this property with my family of 6. It also felt weird that the owner's family photos and personal knick knacks were everywhere. We felt like we were invading someone's personal space. Having one cohesive set of instructions on how/ when to leave the property should be instituted. The booking instructions did not match the instructions that are posted on the fridge such as check out time and how to clean up before leaving and the well water situation.The water pressure took a while to get above a trickle in the showers. Overall, we were warm and comfortable.

Our annual family reunion is in the nearby area, and in coming from Colorado I wanted to be able to stay close by. This cottage is set on a beautiful property, lots of living space, and comfortable beds. There was even a bin of toys that my three year old son loved playing with! When I first got there, the door code didn’t work, and Andrea replied right away to the phone call and gave me the new code. We even had a fire outside in the fire pit! Would stay again for sure.

There was a few complaints I have such as the insects that kept flying all time of day and morning as if there a meat butcher store is underneath the house. The cleaning was done horrible that there was plenty of dead insects inside the perimeter of the house. All the furniture was antique that you had to be very fragile with things. The stove was the worst, kept smelling gas and had to set the oven offset of 75 degree. The owner showed up for unknown reasons. Pretty much as they said it’s their Grandparents home but need a lot of updating and renovations going. We mad the best of it and we thank the owner for letting us use their home during our stays.

My siblings and I spent a week here. The property was nice with a big yard to have privacy and enjoy camp fires. The house was nice also, however, the twin mattresses were horrible, the enclosed porch was dirty and looked like a storage area instead of an inviting place to sit and enjoy, and the deck they advertised was closed off and unusable. We look for these simple things when booking so we can sit outside and enjoy our coffee so this was very misleading. They do not mention anything about the water in advertisement however at the house they stress not to take 2 many back to back showers because of there well. I get that but when you have 6 adults staying and it's very hot and you've been out sweating you really don't want to set up a shower schedule and be fearful of screwing up there pump.

The house and the property are fine if you are planning to be out a lot and doing activities like the Hocking hills parks while you are there. The home is older but it was clean and had things you need for a stay. As others have mentioned a bit strange to have many many old family photos all over the house including the living room. Molesting talked about walking/hiking trails in the property but they weren't maintained at all and we quickly got off them in the woods. One other minor issue, we couldn't find any additional toilet paper anywhere in the house and almost ran out.

Since it rained for most of the weekend that we were in the area this house gave us a nice comfortable place to stay and relax. The house was clean and had plenty of room. The bed was also quite comfortable. We also enjoyed how quiet the area was during the nights. I would just suggest to anyone interested in staying there to take note of the pictures. They are very accurate. This was indeed someone's house and is not a place that was custom built to be a luxury vacation rental. What you see is what is there. It served our needs well.

We had a pleasant stay but the house left something to be desired. Some of the appliances were in disrepair. There were a lot of restrictions about water use such as washing clothes and taking showers. We weren’t told about these restrictions until two days before we got there. I wouldn’t stay again because there were just a lot of small things that weren’t up to par: jammed silverware drawer, oven was off by 75°, burnt pan in the cupboard. We spent quite a bit on this VRBO so I think we just expected a little better. We were even asked to put a towel down in front of the washer if it leaked and call a repairman. The hosts were very nice and the setting is beautiful.
