About this house rental
Enjoy the calm ambiance of Omena in this home set within a tranquil wooded environment featuring a beautiful sandy beach. Wake up to gorgeous sunrise views over West Grand Traverse Bay and the sound of the water gently lapping the shore. This private, quiet area is a great place to get away. East Beach Retreat has 3-bedrooms and 2-bathrooms. There are beds for eight, but up to 10 people are allowed.
The home has a wood-burning fireplace and DVD player but no Internet access. Grill out on the deck and enjoy the beach area. In Omena, enjoy a tasting at a local winery, visit local art galleries, or collect rocks on the beach of Grand Traverse Bay. The home is located between Northport and Suttons Bay. Traverse City is 35 minutes away.
A well-mannered pet is allowed, but the owner must clean up after it. (Two dogs maximum)

I will start with We have stayed here before, and prepared. The house is dated! This does not bother our family, it about being together, however the beds are in need of being replaced. They are hard, lumpy, and just not comfortable. The water quality isn’t the best, fine for making coffee or cooking but it smells like rotten eggs so 2 cases of water got our family of 5 through the week. When we arrived either the cleaning person or the previous renters had the thermostat set at cool and 71...this rental DOES NOT HAVE AIR CONDITIONING! The house was missing many screens which would help to circulate airflow. Again, this wasn’t our first time staying in this house and we knew it was more rustic than modern and still very much enjoyed our family time. One more item that renters should know is that the water/ swim area is VERY rocky and water shoes/sandals are a must!
