Beautiful grounds. Lovely big room with outdoor space.
Some of the staff were amazing but others need more training. Room needs more soundproofing.

Beautiful resort, amazing service, great food.

Everything. It was flawless. Understated elegance and the highest quality abound. The villa was vast, the private plunge pool was great, the food in both restaurants and the pizza place was really good.
It was a privilege to eat wonderful food whilst immersed in nature.
The trails, rope bridges, etc were superb.
The people were, without exception, courteous, friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable.
Nothing. It was great.

The property itself was gorgeous and meticulously cared for. Our room/cottage was beautiful and comfortable. The hammock on the patio, outdoor tub, and huge shower with glass walls to the patio were lovely. The property was fun to explore, though with vague maps and minimal information available, it could have been better. The concierge was helpful; other staff left something to be desired- not bad, just not exceptional or what I expected at a high end resort property. The bike and kayaks were a fun perk. The on-site dining options were pretty good (on the pricier end for the quality, but enjoyable), and the ambiance was lovely. Room service is available for an additional $5 delivery fee, which seems reasonable. We appreciate the in-room espresso maker- much nicer than just a coffee machine. The property was quiet- we rarely encountered other guests, other than at meals.
Service was okay but not up to par with what I would expect for the price. The check in process could have been better executed- the pieces were there, but it felt rushed and a little disorganized. There were service opportunities where a simple solution could have been offered to greatly improve the experience (i.e. they were out of decaf coffee for the rooms- an offer to comp one at the restaurant would have been what I would expect at a five star property- inexpensive on their end and would impress a customer vs "Sorry, we are out.") They provide QR codes to access information, which is helpful, but the information provided lacked depth. There were several roads that we biked/walked that we really didn't know where they would lead or whether we were still on property. Very vague maps of the property were provided, but lacked specifics- many things, we ended up just finding on our own as we explored, but I would prefer a little more detail up front so we could better plan our exploration. There was a significant error on our bill at the end (they had added a $200+ dollar transportation fee that was incorrect)- though it was rectified, I would certainly recommend double checking your incidental charges prior to check out! The bed was on the very firm side- not my preference, but perhaps not a problem for others :)

Breathtaking resort in the jungle. Thankfully no mosquitoes despite walks in the jungle. The room was so large and beautiful with delicious coffee inside the rooms. Huge bonus was water filter in each room!! Will be back for sure! Loved there was a free shuttle to the sister property where we ate dinner. Called the banks also beautiful.
We arrived at 4pm and there were no excursions we could go on except the night time jungle hike which was the same time as dinner seating.

Unsere Suite Mountain-view was a dream - privatness - our Town jacuzzi with view oder the Jungle and to the sleeping giant was incredible!

The room was much more spacious than photographed, nicely finished, and perfectly clean. Possibly the most comfortable bed of my life? Loved the Yoga mat provided in the room.
The hammock on the patio was perfect for relaxing and listening to the bird song or watching the Koi pond. The fan above the hammock to keep the bugs away was an excellent idea! We also made use of the scope available to guests for birding in the garden.
The staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a couples massage in our room.
The dinner was exceptional - beetroot pate appie + lamb chops + pork chop mains were divine.
The grounds are beautifully kept and you feel like you're in a riverside jungle oasis ❤️
We had planned that we would fill our morning with the horseriding, but unfortunately there was a horseriding camp ongoing that had not been listed on the website as far as we had seen, so this was unavailable and left us disappointed. So instead we tried to kayak on the river, but the inflatable devices were unsuitable for my 6'3 fiancé and the couples kayak flooded once we got on the water, so we swiftly abandoned. We waited for bikes to become available from other guests using, but then found they were gearless and quite challenging on the gradient or unpaved trails to the rope bridges, recommended by the activities guide. So despite us being mountain bikers at home, this activity wasn't as fun as it could have been if there were more basic bikes available.
We did enjoy the pool, massage and birding activities instead though.

The location, facilities & the staff were terrific! Sleeping Giant Resort is located right off beautiful Humming Bird Hwy, not that far from Belmopan, close to Herman's Cave & The Blue Hole. I believe the whole resort & development covers 500 acres, so it feels like you are in your own world! We loved the bikes, hiking trails, bridges, lookout tower, animals (poultry, peacocks, sheep, horses, bunnies, turtles, birds), river/tubing, outdoor wood-fire pizza dining area, restaurants, pools, gardens, sitting areas, large rooms, everything was bonus! We felt like celebrities lol, all the staff was amazing, friendly, kind, so helpful! The higher price justified the inclusions & amenities. We came during low season & stayed in Riverview room #5, so it was a great value. We loved everything about this place & can't wait to return! Thank you <3
As a couple we enjoyed everything. We would love to bring the family next time. They had more activities than we expected, -not sure if they had an area for ping pong/billiards/games/playground for evenings? Sadly, we were only there for 1 day.

In the river view suite 2, we had an infinity edge hot tub (really like a warm tub, so perfect for the kids) right on the balcony with amazing views. Parents were able to relax in the room while the kids played. Giant firefly’s, howler monkeys, birds, all the noises of the jungle. Gorgeous. Exceeded our expectations.
I wish they had like a lunch taco stand sort of thing where you could get a quick bite (they do have pizza but it’s kind of expensive). The restaurant was good but a slow experience, which can be totally fine but when your kids just want to get to the pool it would be nice for faster options. We were traveling with kids and it was spring break, but I could imagine travelers without children might find the amount of children a bit much.

We stayed at the Rainforest Lodge for three nights and it was incredible. There was so much to do and it was so relaxing at the same time. We used the bikes they had, kayaked in the river, enjoyed walking the grounds, climbed in the treehouse (the nest) and played in the pool. We travelled with two children and the place was magical for the kids and grownups alike.

Food and staff were amazing.

Loved almost everything. Beautiful grounds, good restaurant, friendly helpful staff. If I had to mention one weakness, it would be the house keeping service. Maybe I expect too much but a $300 US, the room should look brand new every time you return to it. Ours was never full restocked and/or bed not completely made up. Other than that we really loved this place.

This is a beautiful resort, think White Lotus Season 3 Vibes. How they keep the grounds looking as fantastic as they do is a testament to the ground crew. The plunge pool was awesome.
The restaurant is set up beautifully, but the food was just okay.

Location was great. Staff was very nice. The cave tubing was fun, just a little overpriced. Staff was attentive as well. Beautiful grounds and accommodations. Interesting there was a kitchen, but not many places to shop for groceries. Beds were very comfortable.
The food at Humo was ok. Descriptions could have been better. What was described, wasn’t always what was served and we had to ask for the missing ingredients. The fish was very dry. Coffee maker didn’t get inspected before us arriving and was dirty and broken. Coffee cups were the size of cappuccino cups when there was only a coffee maker. Didn’t have enough creamer. One of the sliders wouldn’t shut so the bugs were coming in. Had to get maintenance to fix. Only two sets of silverware for a two bedroom. There were three of us, so one person could only use a spoon to eat our dinner when we ordered in.

Having access to both properties in the Belize Collection was amazing. You are able to enjoy the Humo restaurant and the pool at the banks which is a short bike ride away. The bikes are complimentary and the best way to get to all the amenities including the rope bridges and lookouts.
Any staff member you run into is eager to help and always has a smile on their face. If you do come to this Lodge, I recommend taking a full day to Explore the entire property. That’s an adventure in itself. If you are more into modern stays, then the banks is perfect for you. I would highly recommend this to anyone!
That I didn’t have more time to stay longer!

Incredible property, spacious room, epic outdoor shower, and very clean. Loved the yoga mats and large outdoor deck. The pool and hot tub were luxurious. The food was delicious! Staff were kind and very attentive/communicative.
Food is pricey, but that's to be expected.

Awesome views, good activities, nice property
It took a little while to get there and our room was a good hike up the mountain - but both of these things were kind of necessary to allow for the remoteness and view respectively

The property was stunning! The vegetation and the style of the rooms were so beautiful. Hiking and biking were fantastic!! The kayaking wasn’t much and luckily we are strong enough to move the kayaks into the water but not sure how some people would do it.
This review is for the hotel only. What we didn’t think highly of (and would get a 3/5 tops) was the restaurant. The food was just okay. We had dinner and breakfast there. Very basic for the price. And on top of that there was 12.5% tax and 10% resort free. Plus of course our tip. So we are talking minimum 32.5% on top of the food price and 42.5% if you tip 20%. Therefore the cost was even worse.

Breakfast was good, the best of the meals we had there
In general, the dinner/food was mediocre - the pizza was nothing special, and the for the price the dinner entrees s we had at Grove House were very basic...

Wi-Fi in the rooms could be much better.

The location in the rainforest ist wonderful and we especially enjoyed the free bicycles and the hiking trails on the hotel grounds. It's a great place for bird watching! We stayed at a Creekside Cottage which was beautiful, especially the patio and the outdoor bathbub are great. A great plus is that you are provided with free drinking water. Special thanks to the waiting staff at Don Tonito's, they were so nice and we felt very welcome there!
You have to specifically request that they make up your room - at a hotel of this price range, the rooms should be made up daily without request. Breakfast is not included.

the staff were very friendly and the food was very good
there is huge construction going on, they are destroying the forest by building houses for Americans to buy. the wildlife is practically non-existent due to the disturbance from huge trucks driving through the grounds of the hotel from 6am to 7pm. we were really disappointed that this tranquil oasis was not as described :( although the staff were really friendly the service was below par, they provide you with a WhatsApp number to message with any issues - I informed them that our safe was not working, but even after 2 follow -up messages I still had no reply. eventually they sent someone unannounced at 7am, banging on our door, which woke us up….not great…
