It’s location!
Strong smell of smoke in the enclosed balcony area (we are non-smokers) lots of ants (dead and alive) in the bathroom. We cleaned this up and informed the host.

The host was very responsive to any questions I had. It was easy to access the apartment and the location was excellent. It was clean and neat and functional for my needs.
I didn't check to see if it was a non-smoking apartment (it wasn't). While it was clean, I can detect the remnants of previous smokers. As a personal preference, blackout curtains would be helpful to block street lights.

the apartment was quite fine, the bed was comfortable, the kitchen had all necessities.
location is rather good as well, there is a mall nearby, so getting food is not a problem
the only thing that was not good - for two days of my stay there was no hot water due to some construction or repair works in the city. the apartment does not have a boiler, and the cold water is really cold. going two days without shower was not the best experience during vacation
