Beautiful farm with an old world charm. We enjoyed our stay.

Charming rustic old house. A very historic stay. The breakfast was excellent the next morning. Beautiful garden. We arrived at night but were greeted by friendly, helpful owners. Pet friendly which was nice. Nice warm pets. Towels for swimming and bathing was a nice touch.

There's nothing that I didn't like about the property. My only wish is that we arrived earlier and didn't have to drive the farm road at night. And also wish the owners would have told me about having to let them know before a certain time if you wanted them to prepare dinner for you which I found out too late and we then had to go find dinner which delayed our arrival time as we had to try get food else where in town. But they apologised and we appreciated that. Just mentioning it so other know to ask for dinner the morning before arrival.

Loved the setting, the old house, comfy beds with electric blankets. Coffee & Tea in the room. Friendly and personable hosts. Pet friendly and great location for an overnight on a long road from Gauteng to the coast.

The online price for 2 in the twin room was quoted R968 online. I first booked for just me (R572) but then my partner flew up to JHB to drive back down with me after I attended my mom's funeral (he was with his very sick mom before), so I needed to add him on for the same twin room (they asked R650 extra). We ended up paying a whopping R1222 for the night (twin beds only, no breakfast, sharing bathroom with other guests), which left a bad taste. They have a strict no-refund policy, so my only option was to add on my partner. I should have added him on via Booking.com instead of trying to save the host commission by paying the extra directly. I have never experienced such price discrepancy between 1 and 2 persons in the same room before. It felt like the business model was maximum income from one stay only, rather than building repeat business. The shared bathroom (i.e. with other guests) was not a deal breaker for us, but other guests using it during the night affected our sleep - so in hindsight perhaps better to have a room away from the shared bathroom.
