It would be nice if the bathrooms were cleaned during our stay. The carpets need a good wash. We found a huge cockroach inside the braai.

Not sure if it was us but could not locate the outside light switch. Might have been in a cupboard that was locked?

The patio and outside area was very nice and relaxing and leads straight onto the lawn where there are two dams for birdwatching and morning coffee. There were three braai options (built-in, Weber and drum) and spare grids which was nice. The TV was full DSTV which was different and a nice touch. The aircon worked well, cooled the whole place. Beautiful grounds as always, San Lameer is one of the best places to stay on the South Coast.

The general feel was not very clean. The feeling of the couch was dusty with a strange smell. The couch throws needed a wash they were dirty. The kitchen drawers were dirty with spilled sauce of some kind. The oven gloves were dirty as were the placemats. No dining table inside. The toilet seat upstairs needs a good clean and a change, it looked very dirty and grimy especially underneath (not pleasant). There was a chip packet behind the one bed and dirty used tissues in one of the drawers in the other bedroom. The bed linen did not feel or look clean. The upstairs beds are old and uncomfortable. The bedroom carpets upstairs did not look or feel clean. The upstairs bathroom fittings need some attention as do the gaps in the ceiling, it's tacky. Perfect location just need some attention and better cleaning to be perfect especially considering the price per night.
