Mei Jen Home B&B 民宿

We cannot overstate how incredibly welcome and cared for the hosts made us feel from the very start. This includes amazing things they had prepared for every guest (very thorough recommendations for restaurants, activities and bike rentals; free snacks and postcards) but also incredibly accommodating things for us personally (which include but are not limited to letting us check in early (without even having to ask for it), assisting with the dehumidifier, having tailor-made and specifically marked breakfast due to allergies). We never experienced hospitality like this and cannot recommend this accommodation enough!

Nothing. It was absolutely perfect.

The staff. Welcoming & helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The location. Right beside the pier. The room. Very spacious, with good air conditioning and a large, very comfortable bed. The facilities. Each floor has a fridge plus hot & cold water . The communal area has a microwave, mugs etc plus free snacks and drinks.

Great location - very close to the pier and bus stop which made travelling to and from Sun Moon Lake super easy

Bedroom was very big and bed was very comfortable. They put on plenty of tea/ coffee facilities for you to help yourself free of charge

My stay at this guesthouse was absolute perfection from start to finish. The entire guesthouse is so clean, it's centrally located (super close to the pier and bus station), and Joyce and Amanda have taken care of every detail to ensure guests have everything they need. There's a water filter on every floor, a generous snack lounge with a wide selection of teas, coffee, soda, cookies, chips and fruit, and they even have postcards which they'll mail for you! I was so sad to leave, and I almost cried on the bus because I loved it here so much! I highly recommend Mei Jen Guesthouse and I look forward to coming back again soon!
