Zero - nothing to like.
Would give no stars if I could. Circumstances changed meaning plans changed.
Help and contact from both booking.com and Coastal Retreats, Beech Rise was zero.
Shall never book any holiday with either again.

No gas on arrival so not hot water or heating.4of the 7 lights n main room were out of order - no light in kitchen area. Toilet in main bathroom was dirty. Under the seating cushions was filthy.Kitchen blind fell down when we tried to close it. No lightbulb in one of bedrooms and no spares in the caravan. Gas bottle was replaced about an hour after we contacted number given but no response for lights or blind.

It was a lovely and well tended site, very close to the local town and the beach. There was plenty to do and also plenty of car parking spaces. For the most part it was very peaceful.
The caravan shook in the wind which we had never experienced before in other caravan holidays. At one point we wondered if it was anchored properly. Couldn't have a shower on the last day because the boiler stopped working and kept coming up with "reset". If it wasn't the last day we would have called to have it sorted but as we were leaving that morning we didn't bother. Wasn't a deal breaker for us. Would still recommend!

Central position for excursions
Caravan wasn't clean, dirty cushions on beds, sand and nappies in cupboard above fridge, fridge not clean and food left in cupboards from last guests, mould in shower and old toiletries left. Finger prints and face prints of children on tv, fire, and windows.
Contacted coastal retreats cleaner came back the next day removed cushions and sand and nappies and cleaned tv. Tried to contact again, but there was no reply.
I had to buy cleaning produced and clean the kitchen myself.
We didn't spend any time in the caravan apart from sleeping. The caravan ruined the first two days of the stay. We will be looking into getting some sort of compensation, when the caravan alone cost over £550 for 4 nights

The bathroom was clean and relatively new I think .
There was an abandoned set of stairs just leaning against the van , which could have been used to break in .
The new handrail was wobbly .
The kitchen was dirty when we arrived , crumbs on work surface from toaster which hadn’t been emptied for some time.
The splash back was smeared and grubby.
The back of the sofa cushions were mouldy and the cushions and carpets were stained . We had young babies with us and this was not a healthy environment for them .
The bathroom window wouldn’t close , this meant we couldn’t leave anything of importance in the caravan and everything had to be locked in the cars . I sent an email about this but got no response
This week cost £1200 …..
The lights had some sort of short as they flickered when turned on.
The environment was not up to the standard we would want . I have a video of the flashing lights but I can’t upload it .

I enjoyed my stay here with my 2 children and partner. The caravan was clean and tidy and had everything we needed to stay comfortable. The access to the beach was a great trip out. We even walked the beach to filey and easy bussed back.
When I couldn't find my haven code, the owner was quick to resend and make sure everything was okay. Will be used to stay again. Thankyou.
The haven app didn't work so wasn't able to use passes but this is no fault of caravan owners this is a fault on havens side.

The accommodation was spacious and easy to find on the campsite.
It was well equipped and comfortable.
The wifi was unable to connect to the internet and we had no support from the owner in resolving the issue.
The camp site facilities were plentiful but each adult would have to pay £30 each for a pass. The food outlets were very disappointing with expensive menus that were poorly cooked.
The camp swimming pools were only available with the expensive leisure passes and we could not use the short time slots that they were available. Seems like they are still operating under Covid restrictions with some of the self imposed rules that were explained to us by inexperienced young staff.

Great location for the Lakehouse and close to our friends who were on Lake View.
The street is wide and the caravans are well spaced out. This meant it was quieter than other areas of the park. Ideal with 2 young children
The caravan is modern inside and had everything you could need for a break away.
The shower was also excellent.
Plenty of parking outside.
There was only one glass to drink out of in the caravan, so we ended up buying more.
My son unplugged the wifi by accident and then it didn't work all weekend.

The caravan was lovely. The host was easy to get hold of when needed, and more importantly, it wasn't far to the beach. Nice quiet location (just needed some chairs to sit out whilst it was sunny )
Nothing I didn't like in the property the passes on site where extortionate and we never needed them

Radiators didn't come on for 2 days, so had put it on without using the timer, I slept in the lounge, it was freezing cold every night
The beds weren't made up, and no bedding provided, so had to phone up,
Fridge had no retainers in the door for milk or butter.

Place is beautiful. The caravan is complete with everything. Really nice peaceful place and also a good base to search Filey and their beautiful cliffs.
The owner of the caravan is so helpful and quick to response with all your questions. Will be back here for sure.
