Great base for location and access to public transport, very quiet area. From Booking, information to access and questions brilliant. Very fast replies to messages stress free booking. Apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay, clean and modern. Lovely old building, having a designated private parking space very convenient not having to worry about having a place to park. Felt very safe and secure, very cozy apartment.
Everything was great, just our personal preference we felt the bed was a little too small for us. But it was very comfortable and we slept very well. Didn't affect us but unfortunately not ideal for people with walking difficulties, due to being on the second floor with no lift.

Spectacular views from the Clock Tower at Birch Hill, Smithy Bridge, to the landscape at the back of the lake. All the surrounding hills towards Littleborough, also visible. The views were breathtaking. There are two large windows in the living room and one in the bedroom. I loved watching the weather change and seeing for miles.

The building itself was lovely.
We’ve stayed in a different place by the same owner before and it wasn’t great, but gave the benefit of the doubt because seemed liked a nice guy, and this apartment on paper/photos appeared better (fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me I guess)
Problems: bathroom ‘big time’ bad plumbing, awful shower, runs either cold or super hot, no shower grip Matt so quite dangerous, can’t even use the bath because small water tank makes it impossible - shower issues mentioned many times in previous reviews but nothing done. However the shower did break whilst we were staying and the owner came over and fixed it quickly, as I said before he is a nice guy.
Poorly equipped kitchen, scratched up pans that hadn’t been cleaned, dirty mugs, not enough equipment to make a decent meal, not even a colander to wash veg, freezer needs defrosting, kitchen cupboards a bit grubby ie sticky handles, place was also dusty and my husband has asthma so not good.
At least an attempt was made for Christmas though and we had a lit tree so some ambience.
Other positives were the views from the building and it was lovely watching the fireworks everywhere on New Years Eve.
Price was too high for what you actually got.

The apartment is absolutely beautiful, the views are amazing. The bed is super comfy, and the host is really helpful giving all the info we may need. I am local anyway but fancied a night away, we enjoyed it that much and looked the apartment I have been looking to see if there is any to rent or buy, will definitely be booking again to stay.
Everything was absolutely spot on.

Apartment was clean and cosy but big enough for the two of us, with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space.
Kitchen was well equipped and had complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits.
Bed was comfy, plenty of pillows.
Towels and toiletries in the bathroom were a good bonus in a self catering apartment. I had read from other reviews that the shower was a bit tricky, but the owner had sent precise instructions and this worked a treat!
Great communication from the owner - we had one small issue, but it was dealt with quickly, so it didn't turn into a problem. Thank you!
This is a quiet apartment, in a lovely, restored historical building in a pleasant residential area. It's a good base to explore from and is close to local amenities, 10 minutes walk to the train station. We stayed here to be close to relatives we were visiting. Really happily with our choice!
Nothing we didn't like.

A beautiful apartment, very comfortable, and perfectly located for visiting my various family members in the area, as well as seeing some of the stunning local countryside. The bed was very comfortable, with plenty of spare pillows if needed. The kitchen was well equipped, although we ate out of most the time as there are a lot of very good options nearby. The area is very quiet, which was perfect for us. Everything was spotless and toiletries were also available, if we needed them. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful apartment. Nice and spacious inside. Very quiet day and night. The kitchen was equipped with just enough. Bath and shower options. Great communication from the owner. Easy access to the apartment block and the room.
It was very warm. the option to turn heating down when needed could be an advantage.
A bin in the bathroom would be beneficial.

Lovely modern apartment. Well equipped and comfortable.

Location is perfect, but they messed up by closing the access at the front, so you have to drive through a housing estate to get to the car park….only a minor thing and nothing the owners had a say in

Very nice flat in an old Victorian building. Everything in good condition, and all clean and sparkling. Helpful host, comfortable beds, nice view across the valley. My 3rd stay there - speaks for itself.
The shower wouldn't win any prizes, and a chopping board would be helpful. Minor points.

Very nice apartment a short walk from where we needed to be. Will stay again. Many thanks.
Nothing. A USB socket would be useful fortunately we brought one with us so no problem.

A comfortable, clean and well presented apartment, in a lovely old building. The facilities are great and the shower has good pressure. There is a fenced carpark and an allocated car parking space.
The owner was pleasant and helpful in email communications and checked that everything was in order.
Hollingworth Lake is well worth a visit and Rochdale Town Hall is stunning.
I underestimated climbing 2 flights of stairs, particularly as I had a lot of luggage and was staying there alone. On the plus side, my fitbit was happy.
There was scaffolding covering the lounge window during my stay, but the views are still amazing from the bedroom window.

2nd visit to this apartment and I feel like it's my second home now! Fantastic place, spotlessly clean and modern with a lovely comfy bed. Fully equipped kitchen, so much better than a hotel.
Really Peaceful too, this is my go to place whenever I am up north
At the time of my visit there was scaffolding up outside the living area windows which wouldn't have been so bad had I not been escaping scaffolding at my house in Devon!! There seems to be an ongoing leak in the corridor outside so you have to negotiate buckets and plastic sheets but beyond the apartment owners control, I assume the work on the roof is to stop the leak in the corridor?? Out of the control of the apartment owner I know which must be frustrating. However didn't mar my stay. It is a gorgeous place!

Slightly tricky to find the parking as satnav took us to the wrong side of the building but once we figured that out it was easy

It was really clean. The owner was also friendly and sounded kind. There’s a difference between being polite and kind.
Nothing. I absolutely loved it!

Great value, good location, great view. For a lady on business, the ability to have all own facilities was great.
Parking right outside property.
Was ok for me but be warned 3rd floor no lift

Excellent apartment in an impressive renovated Victorian(?) building. Very well appointed, all mod cons, everything very clean and in good condition. Nice views out over the moors. 10 mins walk from the local station
Nothing of any significance. The only slightly disappointment was the shower, which didn't have much pressure and difficult to get the temperature stable. And a chopping board would have been helpful.
