Nice place, nice host, would definitely stay again.

Nothing not to like really. The roads in and out were a bit narrow with some tight bends but that is to be expected when you book a rural property out of the way.

Nice cottage, good location to visit some National Trust treasures.

Bedroom and bathroom were top!

WiFi was disconnecting very often or not connecting at all. For foreigners, roads to connect to the cottage are very small and sometimes it was difficult to manouvre your car when encountering cars coming from the other direction. However, local drivers are very patient and very helpful in such situations, so just driving carefully is the best advice.

Peaceful secluded cottage

The cottage is set in stunning surroundings – a truly beautiful spot for a relaxing countryside escape. The property itself is charming and well-equipped. The cottage is well renovated in keeping with its heritage. We enjoyed the private garden looking out at the neighbouring land and animals. It’s peaceful and quiet, perfect for anyone looking to switch off and enjoy nature especially with all of the local walks available. There is WiFi at the cottage which we felt was really helpful due to lack of phone signal.

Communication with the hosts wasn’t quite as smooth as we’d hoped based on other reviews – possibly due to limited phone signal in the area. On arrival, there was a dog barking and crying at the adjoining door for a while, however this was a one off. We felt that perhaps adding a blind or curtain in the kitchen would make it feel a bit more private.

Super lovely cottage with beautiful views in the middle of the National Park. Many options for hikes and close enough to all the main sights in Exmoor.

Maybe a sitting area on the grass with the best views would be a nice Addition.

Lovely cottage, beautiful interior with everything supplied, stunning location. Perfect for a quiet few days away. The homemade brownies were delicious and gratefully received.

Location, views, peaceful, comfortable

I was looking for somewhere cosy with a log burner, off the beaten track with nice views for my husband and I to end our silver anniversary celebrations and Slowley Farm Cottage came up. It ticked all of the boxes, it was so quiet during our stay, we could hear a pin drop. The cottage was lovely, full of character but with all the mod cons you could require. We didn’t want for anything during our stay. We had plenty to do during our long weekend stay, never venturing more than half an hour by car to anywhere. We pre booked the Royal Oak Inn for Sunday lunch and I was so glad we had as the food was just delicious! We were greeted by the sight of about 15 deer out the front of the cottage when we arrived and we walked to the pub and saw more deer on the way. We will definitely book to stay in the cottage again.

Wonderful stay at Slowley cottage!

The property was perfect in every way, like something out of a movie. Fantastic views of Somerset from the windows and a lovely Koi carp pond just outside the front door. It had all the amenities you require, we stayed for 2 nights but could have easily stayed longer.

A cooker that could be used was needed for what I had meal planned during our stay. The one provided locked me out... a common fault with more modern cookers. This badly needs rectifying!

The cottage was so beautiful! Fantastic kitchen with a lovely surprise. Bathroom and bedroom was stunning with a very comfy bed. Great secluded location near lots to see! Definitely recommend The Chapel Restaurant at Cotford!

Barely anything! We would be maybe liked some oven gloves (unless we couldn't find them!) but other than that minor detail it was fab!

Schöner Aufenthalt mit Luft nach oben bei der Sauberkeit

Die einsame Lage mit toller Aussicht und Ruhe. Es gab sogar ein Fernglas, mit dem man die Hirsche beobachten konnte. Hinweistafel für mögliche Aktivitäten. Die Bank vor dem Haus.

Die Küche müsste besser gereinigt werden. Der Backofen inklusive Gitter und Blechen war sehr schmutzig. Mein Mann hat sich die Mühe gemacht, die Bleche zu reinigen. In einer Pfanne befand sich eine große Menge Angebranntes, diese haben wir auch gereinigt. Dies sollten die Vermieter bei der Reinigung kontrollieren. Auch die Schubladen von innen und der Kühlschrank hätten einer gründlichen Reinigung bedarft. Eigentlich ein toller separater Garten, allerdings waren weder Bank noch Liegestühle nutzbar, da voller Vogelkot.
