Pet-Friendly Home with Fenced Yard in Texarkana

The interior and porch were staged beautifully. The physical location of the airbnb was conveniently located to our function.

The description was misleading. We were expecting to have access to an entire home. However, the airbnb was a house that had been divided in half, with the airbnb on one side and a rental on the other side. Seemed a bit weird. The ad stated that it was pet friendly with a fenced in backyard. The backyard is not fenced in. The small space on side of the house between the airbnb and the owner(s) home, which is next door, was fenced in. Not much room for a large dog like ours. Also, the neighbors on the other side had 2 dogs that kept getting out of their yard due to a broken, run down fence. The neighborhood was rundown with vacant homes, didnt look safe, home with tarp for a roof, etc.The ad stated covered parking in the back via entry thru the alley. Unless you have a truck, which was still difficult, good luck parking under the detached shed. We spent a great deal of time trying to kill the flies that entered the home each time we opened the door. Perhaps it's because of the trash can that sat right outside by the side door, but we really aren't certain. The owner(s) did not introduce himself. However, it was very obvious. He/they have a camera pointed directly at the airbnb so whenever you exit the side door it is staring you in the face. There is also a camera on the front porch facing the entryway, which is understandable. Still, we felt as if we were being watched constantly. The owner(s) put the garbage can by the street for trash collection without us knowing it. We had left and when we returned it was there. It would be nice to provide this information to the guests. He would go in and out of the gate often. One night when taking our dog out to potty, we heard one of the owner(s) make a not so pleasant comment about our dog. The instructions state to put dishes in dishwasher upon departure. Well, there is no dishwasher! The air freshener was overpowering for such a small space.
