Amazing Sea View Apartment and Relax Area

Really Nice location on one side the beach, lovely views and peaceful (other side main road) I didn’t stay in that bedroom but didn’t seem an issue for my mum. Basic property, not luxurious or anything just basic but clean

Entering the property was difficult as the key fob didn’t work and they told us to call the neighbour who was Spanish and of course we don’t speak Spanish so the girl who advised us I rang her and got her to speak to the lady over the intercom! There was parking outside but if busy would be difficult. My main grievance was it’s all very well having an oven but no oven gloves to take out cooked food not helpful and not one dishwasher tablet or toilet paper or even washing up Liquid was left. When you go on holiday to expect the owners to at least give you a couple of rolls of toilet paper and some cleaning stuff! That felt tight and made me cross!!

The apartment is basic but it was very clean and tidy when we arrived with fresh clean linen and towels. It looked as though it had been freshly decorated and everywhere was spotless. The beds are very comfortable. the sea views are truly amazing, just as described and the apartment is very well placed facing directly onto the promenade. Rincon would not win any beauty contest but the new development is not too imposing and the town has a nice local feel. There is an amazing Roman Villa museum, a beautiful fort with changing exhibitions and a unique cave experience here, and local transport (0.57 Euro per trip - come on UK!) will take you further afield without any difficulty. Malaga is 20 minutes away and there are busses to local villages and further afield. In season there are excursions to Granada, the famous Camino del Ray, Ronda and more. Communication with the agent was OK but not perfect. It was all via WhatsApp. We would have liked beach chairs to be provided (for our couple of sunny days) and a wheeled shopping trolley for visitors without a car.

The instructions were not up to date. There is no spare gas for the water heating as stated. Biggest Gripe - Noise! We were NOT informed about building work in the appt above until after ALL the monies had been transferred, including a hefty caution deposit of 200 Euro. (Incidentally, we lost over £15 on this because of transaction fees from our bank). This did affect our holiday negatively. The work was extensive and was very noisy and intrusive. We were forced out of the flat in daytime, so the Relax part of the property name was not evident! The agent did offer us a discount if we book directly through them in the future! There was not sufficient crockery or glasses. Just 4 of each item, and we would have liked 4 mugs. There were no homely touches.
