Elaia Villas

Amazing new mediteraneean villa, it is splendid between the olive trees & great location close to Argostoli & airport, very clean and each room with their own bathroom. Beds are comfortable, the pool was excellent & at night all the garden lights create a magical atmosphere. We spotted the planes at landing but don't worry they do not disturb at all.

Beautiful villa, very convenient for a family of 5. We had a relaxing time at this quiet villa secluded from the main town of Argostoli. The garden is a spacious and a gorgeous area to relax and enjoy the sea view ahead. The children especially loved using the pool. The airport is so close we could see airplanes coming and going but nothing that was a disturbance. Spasmata beach is a fairly small local quiet beach which is a 10 minute walk. The villa has two bedrooms, the upstairs with a balcony view which was wonderful to watch the sea view and sunsets. Overall, we had a wonderful time at this lovely villa, it’s perfect for those who want to relax and not sightsee as much. Stefanos and Gregory were very warm and welcoming, and kindly picked us up from the airport and took us to the mini market nearby. They were both very hospitable and helpful throughout our stay.

Would have been better to have more kitchen facilities such as a chopping board and more pots and pans. The villa is far from everything, you would need to taxi to most places like Argostoli and beaches nearby such as Makris Gialos which is 10-20 mins drive. The taxi fares are ridiculously overpriced ie airport return transfer for 3 min drive cost of €20. A 15 min journey to argostoli and back €40 total. Other areas from our villa to Asos town, Myrtos beach or Melisano Cave is €120. I would hire a rental car as it seems pretty straightforward to drive on this island and to avoid the hefty taxi fees.

We were a large family group so the two villas next to each other was perfect. We had one pool for quiet and one for fun! On arrival the villas were immaculate and the welcome from Stefanos was lovely. The air conditioning came in particularly handy when the temperature reached 40 degrees. The location was fab. Spasmata beach which is easy walking distance is perfect with sand all the way into the sea and a great little snack bar

The beds and sun beds are so hard that we had to borrow mattress toppers and sunbeds pads from my parents who live in Kefalonia. The kitchens are not as well equipped as I would like. We kept having to borrow between villas because there seemed to be just one of something between two - fine for us but not if you are just renting one. The cleaners came twice in the first week but not at all in the second!
