The toilet was difficult to flush but overall good budget last min stay

Good size property for our purposes.

Paid £183 for 2night stay for the dragon ride cycle event. Requested to pay extra £15 per night for any addition friends sleeping over. Cobwebs in my room ceiling corners Bathroom plastic panels on all the walls of the property which looks nice, but fire hazard especially over the cooker hub where it is buckling because of the heat. WiFi didn’t work Bedroom tv didn’t work Some of the electrics wasn’t working due to a tripped breaker. Portable heated had no feet and would be a major fire hazard, so we were able to add the feet ourselves. Bedroom toilet wouldn’t flush on occasions. Booking.com property policy states £100 refundable deposit, but emails and phones calls from owner stating £150 refundable deposit is needed. Pleasant customer service, I was compensated £30 for my experience, but that was what suggested in the hope they would increase the sum as a demonstration of their sincere concern. I would stay again only if the above have been remediated.

The property was just a short walk from Swansea Marina, with its many restaurants and bars. It was a 15 minute walk to the shopping area of the city. The double bed in our room was comfortable and the shower was efficient. There were plenty of towels. A kettle was provided with complimentary tea and coffee. There was also a refrigerator and microwave in the room. An electric fan was provided, which we appreciated as there was a heatwave during our stay.

As I don't possess a smartphone and therefore have no access to the internet while travelling, our hosts had agreed to telephone me at an agreed time to provide me with details about accessing the property via a code to a lock box containing the key. However, we didn't receive a call and I had to ring them myself to get the information. As mentioned above, there was a heatwave during our stay, and although an electric fan had been provided, I estimate that the temperature in our room to have been around 30 degrees. Unfortunately a lock had been placed on the one window in our room so that it could only be opened a few inches. This prevented a sufficient amount of air to flow through the room to cool the temperature. Only a limited amount of crockery was provided, with no cereal bowls. The signal on the flat-screen TV in our room repeatedly cut out, causing picture break up and loss.
