Woodside Game Lodge

The tent we stayed in was very comfortable and cozy, and the bathroom large. There was a small fridge, coffee, and rusks. The meals (breakfast and dinner) were included. The food was very yummy although the portions were not big (especially dinner). There was a waterhole, but we didn't see any animals (unfortunately, the spotlight isn't directed at the hole at night, so it would be difficult to see anything at all).

I think it's a shame that they put plastic plants in the tents (is this 'modern'?) Unfortunately, the facility is rather noisy. We could hear the guests in the two tents next to us (even though they weren't loud). Not sure how the noise would be if the place was fully booked?

James and Tannie Elize cater to every single need, no request too big! We felt spoilt and cared for. Exceptional service, incredible value for money! 5-star food made by the Chef James. Excellent all around.

No fault of the lodge, but the rain does make the sand road that you have to come in on almost impossible to drive on when it is muddy. Just take this into consideration when travelling with a smaller 'town' vehicle. When the road is dry, it is easy and smooth for any vehicle, but the rainy season will challenge you.
