Really relaxing stay

Spacious, enclosed garden for dog, log fire, views, large bathroom and shower, comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen,, quiet

Sofa wasn't very comfortable, latches on doors were loud, rug was a bit slippy, no blinds in kitchen, could do with a shelf in the shower

Relaxed , cosy cottage ideal for a rural retreat

Lovely location clean , cosy cottage , with a lovely log burner and supply of logs . Added personal touch of a couple of messages before and during stay from owner . Lovely home cooked brownies waiting for us on our arrival .dog friendly enclosed garden .

A relaxing stay in a cosy cottage and tranquil location

It had everything we needed and was a beautiful cottage in a tranquil location. Hosts were friendly and provided lots of information and a warm welcome.

Quiet country escape. A beautiful barn, family and dog friendly.

Amazing location quiet and tranquil, but in driving distance of the local town and many local Pubs/restaurants. The barn was immaculately clean had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The main bed and sofa bed were really comfortable. The attention to detail was really appreciated, homemade brownies, milk in the fridge and jars of fresh flowers. Andrea and Alex were excellent hosts. It’s extremely private but they are on hand if needed. The gated garden area was a great bonus when travelling with a small dog.

May 2 night stay

On arrival, happened to be greeted by the owners who welcomed us and explained few of the local places. Accomodation and facilities were great and was perfect for our dog with the secured garden and the adjacent field which we were able to make use of!

A True Somerset Gem!!

Alex met us when we arrived, he was extremely nice and welcoming. The cottage is absolutely beautiful, so quiet and peaceful! The surrounding area is brilliant for walks along the river! The cottage is very well laid out and has everything you could possibly need! The ciders and brownies left out on arrival, were to die for! We even used the log burner which is Fantastic! The cottage was spotless when we arrived and did our best to leave as we found it! Alex even looked after our dogs when we went out! This is by far the best place we have ever stayed! I cannot recommend this cottage enough. Truly amazing!!

Perfect stay for dog owners

This was a big hit. Very dog friendly with an enclosed garden and parking area so no worries about where the dogs were. The accommodation is a lovely, spacious and comfortable barn conversation in a quiet location. The owners make a reasonable request to either not have dogs on the furniture or to put a blanket on it, understanding that dogs may be used to cuddles, we had taken our own blankets for this very reason. The shower room was large and included a big shower and a cupboard with a washing machine. The lounge area was comfortable, and the wood burner was a big hit especially our first night which was wet and windy. The bedroom was a good size giving us plenty of room for the 2 dogs beds. The double bed was comfortable and we both slept well every night. The kitchen area had obviously been equipped by someone who used a kitchen and we had everything we needed. A welcome pack was also left for us including tea and coffee. Cleaning supplies including a vacuum cleaner were also available (which a lot of places don’t provide) which was very welcome with 2 dogs with us.

There was nothing to not like. But there are a couple of very minor things which would be an improvement. The mirror in the bedroom was the other side of the room from the plug socket which is annoying when using a hairdryer. But I always take an extension cable as this is an issue in a lot of places. While the kitchen was well equipped all the cupboards were in use and there was no place to store items that did not need to go in the fridge like cereal and dog treats. An empty cupboard for this purpose would have been nice. But again this is common in a lot of places.

A very relaxing stay and can recommend totally The Cottage @ Winslade Farm.

A perfect cottage to relax in for a few days with our elderly dog. He loved just to potter around the garden, which was totally secure. The cottage is so well equipped with everything we needed. Our hosts, Andrea & Alex, went the extra mile to make us welcome, including some delicious brownies, also cider in the fridge upon our arrival. Not to mention being given some very tasty freshly laid eggs. So thank you Andrea & Alex for your hospitality.

Lovely relaxing stay in a well equipped cottage in a tranquil rural setting.

The property was very well equipped and I loved the private parking and secure dog garden. It is a very peaceful and relaxing setting and the cottage has plenty of space in it.

I found the bed a little uncomfortable but I suffer from a bad back so it may be ok for others.

perfect and cosy little stay.

The cottage was absolutely perfect, so cosy! we have two young children Andrea and Alex provided a zed bed and cot along with toys. Our children absolutely loved seeing the chickens and the sheep too! not to mention we was welcomed with ciders, brownies and coffee, tea, sugar and milk provided,The cottage was absolutely spotless. we can’t wait to come back in the coming months.
