Great place for a reasonable price

Great location, excellent and fast communication with apartment owners. Just a few minutes walk from a local grocery AB Vasilopoulos with a wide range of goods. Also one more positive thing is self check-in/out option and hill nearby - from it opens view to Acropolis and Lycabettus hill

There was constant construction noise with compressors during quiet hours, caused by the owner himself working in the rooms below, making it impossible to rest. In my opinion, rooms shouldn’t be rented out when such works are taking place. I also chose this room because it was advertised with central heating, but the heating didn’t work, and when I asked for extra blankets, I was told none were available. Overall, a very uncomfortable and disappointing experience.

Big apartment with a good price but a nuance to consider

The apartment itself is great - our first impression was "wow", but then we understood why the price is quite cheap for this big and nice apartment...

...when I opened the window blinds, I saw not a very nice picture - from every window in our apartments, you could see the street stairs where on Saturday night a lot of marginalised people hung out - drinking, singing songs. The apartment was on the 3rd floor, but because it's stairs, you're basically on the same level. It wasn't noisy till late, though, and overall there weren't any issues, but we feel unsafe coming back when it's dark. Also, the location isn't great because the metro station is quite far, but for us it wasn't a big problem to walk. Despite the apartment looking nice few things felt broken or worn out - the washing machine was leaking, kettle didn't work, etc.

Very comfortable, spacious apartment in convenient location.

The rooms were spacious and have necessities, very comfortable. Also there are many shops, restaurants, supermarkets nearby, almost all the places are within walking distance, so it was very comfortable.

I stayed in 2 different rooms due to my longer stay. The room on the 4th floor was better because there was a balcony with good view and you can open windows and shutters. On the other hand, the room on the 2nd floor was facing the street and you can't open shutters at all, so it was not comfortable. In general, next to the property there is a hotel and slope where many people are sitting and talking all day long into late at night and it was very noisy at night, so I could not have windows open at night. I wish they had curtains or blinds in the room, neither of the room has it.

Great stay in Athens

Great location in a vibrant part of the city with many restaurants nearby. All the required facilities and amenities, great sunny rooms. We stayed for a week and did not want to leave.

Probably the mattress in the bedroom can be harder, but it’s more like a personal preference.

Reasonable price for this balance of pros and cons

Interior is designed nicely, maintained well, and helpful attitude in general.

Building exterior and entrance doesn’t look pleasant nor welcoming. Often noisy surroundings at night time (shouts, cars next to the window). Responsiveness can improve a bit.

Not suitable for accommodation and unsafe

I didn't like anything at all. The location is bad and the neighborhood is unsafe

My reservation was confirmed, but when I arrived at the apartment, I found people inside. When I spoke to them, they were not the owners; they had somehow obtained the key, and the apartment was filled with the smell of marijuana. When I contacted the owner, he didn't pay attention to this mistake, even though my reservation was confirmed, and he said it wouldn't happen again. I was terrified; there were people inside my apartment, and I didn't know them. How did they get the keys? I was not pleased with this negligence from the owner. The bed was very bad, I couldn’t sleep comfortably, and ended up sleeping on the couch. The neighborhood is terrible. A dog barked all night, and there were people using marijuana and drugs in front of the apartment with loud noises even in the morning.

Very nice apartment with all amenities you need. Personal was very helpful and very easy to check in with their guidance.

The doors do not block noise. It was very loud in the morning, there were other guests children playing in the hallway or the personal was talking very loudly.

Very good family apartment, clean and cosy, fill like home

Sofia was very kind waiting on us on arrival, handling the keys ,but prior on arrival she was sent me the instructions for the keys door codes and where they will be if no one was there on my arrival. Very pleased

The area of the apartment isn't very pleasant a bit disappointed on arrival, wasn't looking very safe . At night time it was a bit noisy. But all the rest was good.

Good location in trendy neighboorhood

The apartments are all renovated, with a kitchen equipped with all the basics. It’s walking distance from the center and there are many restaurants close by that are open till the evening. On Fridays there is a fruit market just across the street.

There are stairs to go up the hill right next to the hotel and people sit there to get drinks at night with very loud music. Although the building has metal shutters you are still able to hear the noise.

My home in Athens, definitely will come back

You have every thing you need in the flat, big smart TV with nice sofa and beautiful balcony. Staff is very welcoming and helpful. Especially Sofia helped on anything directly 24 hours, thank you Sofia. Good neighbourhood you have everything you need like patisserie, market, pharmacy exc. The best place to stay in Athens.

This a great apartment, it's big, clean, cozy, and comfortable. Also, the design of the whole apartment is great. The check-in and check-out were easy to do. The location is not bad, but a bit far from the main attractions.

It was good overall, but we encountered an issue with the shower – the water didn't drain. We informed the host about it, but unfortunately, the problem wasn't resolved during our stay. Hopefully, they have already fixed it.

Great base for a short trip to this brilliant city.

I was in a very nice, good sized top floor flat which had a private terrace plus access to the roof terrace which offers fantastic views across the city. The apartment was spotlessly clean & had everything you’d need for a short stay. The staff were incredibly helpful & friendly & it was easy to find. The area can look a little run down during the day as there’s lots of graffiti but that’s just the character of the area which really comes alive at night & offers a huge choice of bars & eateries. On a more practical note , there’s a small supermarket 5 mins away & a kiosk almost outside the door selling drinks & snacks til late. Overall, excellent value.

It’s at the top of a hill (clue is in the name) so not ideal for those with limited mobility.

The site as advertised on Booking.com did not state there was no staff at the reception desk. There was no indication outside the building that it was the site, no sign at all.

Rooftop patio gem

The rooftop patio was fantastic. We had our breakfast there (from the bakery on the corner which was also great!) every morning. What a way to start the day! After we figured out that we just had to walk down benaki (the road right in front of us) to get to Omonia station, that made things easier. The flat itself was pretty good in terms of comfort and ameneties. There were lots of restaurants fairly close. On Saturday there was a market on the street in front of the flat which was amazing. Unfortunately we left that day so couldn't partake in all the yummy goodness on sale. Appreciated having a washer/dryer in the flat.

We were on the second floor and our flat was right beside the stairs outside. People walking up could look in and see us which was a bit weird. If we wanted privacy we had to close the roll blinds which made the flat pretty dark. The elevator was on the fritz the day we left, but thankfully, the reception was there to reset it. The location might be a bit tricky to locate. Our cab driver initially took us to the Orion hotel which was on the street behind us (105 benaki) and this flat is 105A benaki.

The amenities and layout of the apartment itself was really nice. Had everything that you would need and as per the listing. Washing machine was very handy.

Although it is a non smoking apartment someone prior to us had clearly been smoking as the room stunk and you could smell it from the air conditioner unit as well. All of our clothes including ones freshly washed smelt of smoke by the time we left. The area is also pretty scary, especially at night time as there is a lot of protest propaganda around which is anti tourists. Additionally several young men sitting on the stairs until late at night next door to the hotel. Wouldn’t be a good idea for young families.

A must stay in Athens!

A really fantastic stay in Athens! The apartment is located in a thriving area with loads of restaurants and bars (I'd recommend the black salami sandwich shop) and it was walking distance from the metro which we took from the Airport. We were also able to walk to all of the famous attractions. The host was so lovely, maybe the nicest host I have ever met! He really made sure we felt at home and welcomed. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed - even a rooftop garden to watch the sunset! When I returned to Athens, I will make sure to stay here again.

The area! With so much graffiti and signs saying that they don’t like tourists… really makes you uncomfortable and not wanting to stay in the area.
