Modern Groveland Chalet ~ 25 Mi to Yosemite!

The house is not only beautifully designed but also well stocked with essentials. We appreciated the fully supplied kitchen; we didn't have to buy items like oil and salt as they were already in the pantry, and they was a wide selection of pots, pans, and other necessities. It made getting in late and having to cook dinner right away a bit easier. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the living room was comfortable and great for gathering. Finally, Brittany was an attentive host, sending instructions by text in advance and making checkout easy as well. Thank you for a wonderful stay in your home!

Not a dislike but more a caveat: staying in Groveland (a cute town) did add 30-40 minutes to get to Yosemite, so something to account for if you're planning to spend most of your time out there like we did.

We really liked the property overall. It was spacious, cosy and attractive, and was spotlessly clean, which was a big plus. The beds were large and comfortable, the rooms looked good, and there was a nice sofa, good lighting, a big TV and a lovely little record player. The kitchen was particularly well equipped, with plenty of crockery and cutlery, kitchen roll and everything else we needed, as well as a big oven, coffee machine and very large fridge. The breakfast bar alongside the dining table was also useful. The washer and dryer were both large, powerful American-style machines and worked very quickly. Loads of towels and shower gel etc. We also liked the quiet location, with no noise from neighbouring properties, plenty of parking, good air conditioning, and the bonus of seeing deer and wild turkeys with chicks outside. Having a supermarket and pizza place nearby was convenient too. Overall, it was a really comfortable, well-equipped and pleasant place to stay, and we liked it a lot.

There were only a few small niggles. The main practical disappointment was the half-sized dishwasher, which felt rather underpowered for a property of this size and was the main reason we marked the kitchen down slightly. It would also have been useful to have a clothes airer/clothes horse, even though the property had a very good washer and dryer. The bathroom was noticeably more tired than the rest of the property: the finish around the sink was peeling or coming away in places, and the shower looked quite old, with yellowing, dated plastic-type fittings. The air conditioning was good and important in the heat, but it did make a little noise in the bedrooms at night. But overall, these were relatively small issues rather than anything that seriously detracted from the stay.

They had everything you could need there - some places have minimal kitchen supplies and utensils. They had everything, including lots of board games! It was very clean and the beds were so comfoetagle. And the host was extremely responsive.
