Infinito Tatacoa

Peace and quiet. The hotel is out in the middle of nowhere, a long, nearly two hour, drive from the airport in Neiva. There is nothing else around it. It is as tranquil and peaceful and relaxing as it is possible to be. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful and accomodating. The restaurant and public area are simple but comfortable, slightly higher than the rest of the grounds and open so as to catch good breezes all day and night. It is a very hot desert area, but thanks to the construction it is very comfortable even without air conditioning. The wifi works really well, but we mostly stayed off of it as the idea was rest and relaxation. The pool area is lovely, the water very refreshing. The hotel can arrange tours to other parts of the desert and everything is quite reasonably priced. In the room - which truly is "glamping" rather than a traditional hotel room - the bed was extremely comfortable. The outdoor shower worked well and the water was a temperature that was refreshing without being chilly. It was a perfect place to get away from the noise and chaos of Bogota.

The "private pool" in the patio of the room was not very clean. It doesn't seem to have a filtration device. So we didn't use it. But the main pool was very clean and pleasant. The chaise longes around the pool and in the patio of the room didn't have any sort of mattress, they were just hard wood benches. There wasn't a big selection of food in the restaurant and what was there was beautifully presented but only sort of average in flavor. Strangely for being the middle of the desert, our favorite dish of our stay was the ceviche. It was incredibly fresh and perfectly made. I see that some reviews complain about the road leading to the hotel and it is true that it is in very bad repair, but actually that is part of what makes the place remote and tranquil and we didn't mind it. I don't think this place is for everyone. If your expectations run more toward the "glamour" side of "glamping," you probably won't like it all that much. But for us it was super relaxing, the staff could not have been nicer or more accomodating and it was nearly perfect.

Wunderschöner sehr besonderer Ort in der Wüste. Tolles Frühstück mit atemberaubender Aussicht. Im Pool kann man auch spät noch entspannt baden. Atmosphärisch unschlagbar. Die sehr netten hilfsbereiten Inhaber helfen bei allen Transportfragen (Wichtiger Tipp: alles mit ihnen organisieren- es ist sehr wichtig, dass man für das letzte herausfordernde Stück Weg in die Wüste gute Fahrer hat, die sich auskennen!).

La atención del personal del lugar es muy amable y servicial. Todo está muy organizado y limpio. Con multiples alternativas de recreación.
