Location and clean.

Probably the most important thing about the hotel you choose to stay in is the location, after all you don't want to be stuck on the outskirts of all the action, but also you would like to get a quiet place for a good nights sleep. This hotel benefits from both of these as it is in the district of Thamel and is tucked away off the main road. I have travelled to many different places in my life and have found that secondly after the location of the hotel comes the service from the staff. If the staff are attentive you can be sure that all your queries will be dealt with without any issues, whether it be where to have your laundry done, where and how to top up your s.i.m card or just where to go for a good night out. From the moment I arrived here the staff have all been very attentive and happy to help me with any difficulties I have from being in a different city. As is usual with the people in this part of the world they are also very cheerful. The hotel is reasonably priced and breakfast is included. My room is en-suite with air conditioning, it is very clean and bright and I am asked every day whether I would like it cleaned. The reception is attended 24 hours and there is a lovely relaxing outdoor area with a waterfall and plants. I am now leaving Kathmandu to go travelling but I shall be back in 3 weeks and shall return to the Hotel Lotus Buddha.

There is nothing I didn't like about this hotel. The location is great, the staff are very friendly and helpful, it is very clean and reasonably priced.

Upon arrival, it was the warm smile at the front desk and the cheerful presence of manager Suresh that welcomed me. His sincerity was felt more in action than in words. As someone carrying heavy gear for photo work, I value safety and calm. This place offered both, along with a staff that genuinely cared about my schedule and creative needs. Their helpful insights into the city made me extend my stay well beyond what I’d planned. One moment stays with me vividly: When my Contax645 battery ran out, Suresh immediately called local shops I had searched for, then said, “Let’s go. I think we’ll find it.” He took me through the city on his motorbike, and eventually, we did find it. That small act turned a stranger into a friend. The guesthouse was more than a place to sleep— it became the center of my journey, filled with care, local knowledge, and peace. I could work freely, rest deeply, and move about with ease.
