    The staff provided excellent service throughout my stay and were always friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the property itself was disappointing. The bed was very uncomfortable, and I could feel the springs through the mattress. The desk and chair were poorly matched, making it difficult to work comfortably, and the bathroom lacked both counter space for toiletries and a power outlet. Although the staff provided an extension cord, it was only a partial solution. The biggest inconvenience was the building layout—despite having an elevator, stairs were still required to reach both the elevator and many of the rooms, making it difficult with luggage. The entrance door also had no hold-open mechanism, making it inconvenient to carry belongings. After my first night, I realized this property simply wasn't the right fit for me and requested to check out early. Unfortunately, my request was denied, and they were also unwilling to refund the two additional reservations I had made for my friends, even though I raised my concerns immediately. While I appreciate the excellent customer service, the combination of the property's shortcomings and the inflexible cancellation policy means I would not choose to stay at a Village property again.
