    A small, quiet hotel. Really clean and nice. Very spacious and had a calm vibe.

    Staff were really lovely and welcoming. My hotel room was excellent, spacious and I really got my value for money especially when I upgraded to a suite. I really wanted a bathtub and I got the upgrade for around $60 the five days I was there. The hotel feels all very new, and the bathrooms are clean. I miss the toilet already with its heated seat hahaha. It's within walking distance to two subway stations, a family mart and a pleasant 18-20 minute walk away from Gion. This is literally a gem. Quiet in the evenings too, no outside disturbance except for the occasional ambulance but that's pretty much it. Peaceful area, a lot more locals than tourists. Bus routes are pretty straight forward too. Great hotel if you're on a budget but looking for just a little bit more comfort.

    This hotel has given us more than what we have paid for. The staff were superb, location is the best. Its 1 min away from subway station. Lots of good restaurants near by, walking distance to some of the must see in kyoto. Japanese zen looking room, best toilet, best shower water pressure. I will definitely stay here again.

    This hotel is cute at first glance but it isn’t that great. The room wasn’t that clean. Our remote was broken and we never got a replacement. The front desk people were friendly but i wouldn’t stay here again.
