Location was fantastic, it is a lovely little home. Access to the cottage was very easy. We sadly didn't get much use from the garden due to the weather but it was extremely pretty. We loved the area, it is a beautiful little town, and we found the locals to be very charming. We really appreciated the cottage being nice and warm for our arrival. We noticed secondary glazing throughout which kept the cottage very quiet from any street noise. The kitchen is fairly well equipped and you can easily make a family meal in it. We loved the café next door and thoroughly recommend it to anyone staying at the cottage for coffee, bread & cakes. Wifi was good and we had no issues with working from our laptops. We thought the honesty bar was a great idea, and we loved the gin!
There wasn't anything we didn't like, but we would advise others planning to stay that the kitchen floor is a bit cold in winter, so bring slippers. It was a bit of a shame that there were no mixers at the honesty bar, so we couldn't use it until we could get to the shops the following day (we unfortunately arrived quite late in the end).
Also a note for those with potential access issues - we had one day where the neighbours blocked access to the front door with their cars, so we had to squeeze through down the side of their cars to get in. It was fine for me, but a bit tricky for my older parents (who are fairly agile for their age).

Beautiful cottage. Beautifully furnished and very spacious and comfortable. Charming, quiet but interesting village, lovely to walk around and explore. Really nice welcome pack. Easy parking in front of cottage, but the village was quiet when we stayed.
We loved everything.
However there is nowhere in the fabulous kitchen to keep any foodstuffs apart from the fridge. We didn't need it as we ate out apart from breakfast and there were only 3 of us so we just left everything on the table. That could be a problem if more people were staying..

Loved the location-right next to the church and with stunning misty morning views of the countryside from the top window. Beautifully decorated for Christmas.Despite the property age it was very warm and the wood for a fire was a very thoughtful detail. Able to leave the car right outside the front door and no long walks with suitcases. Ideal for a festive break. We listened to the bellringers at work as the festive yew trees glittered. Magical.
Could use spare light bulbs for bedside lights- one died! Otherwise very well equipped.

Beautiful house, furnishings. Well equipped. Great communication
Not much to do in Painswick and not many places to eat on a Monday/Tuesday night

Beautiful authentic property, bedrooms very comfortable & pretty garden
Would have been nice to have enough seats in the sitting rooms for the total number of guests in the house e.g. 6 people in the house but only 4 seats in both sitting rooms

Location was ideal for sightseeing the Cotswolds. Charming, quaint historic village, centrally located, and it had everything necessary within walking distance of cottage: good restaurants, coffee shop, grocery store and pharmacy.
The kitchen chairs made a god-awful noise when moved across the tile floor. But my daughter and I remedied that by purchasing felt pads for the chair legs. Now the cottage is perfect!

The location is very good, with close proximity to attractions , coffee shop next door with friendly staff and delicious brews a bonus.
Unfortunately, its not luxurious as advertised, some areas need refreshing , the carpet in the entry & lounge need repair, had nails sticking up, not the best as we were asked to remove our shoes when on the carpeted areas.overall a nice enough stay, 3 out of 5,free local parking is insinuated, but not guaranteed, if others take it first your out of luck, dont be surprised if random cars are parked right out the front door,

Our stay at Lovedays Cottage in Painswick was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the cottage’s character, charm, and attention to detail. Nestled in the heart of the village, the location is ideal—peaceful yet just a short walk from the local shops, pubs, park and the beautiful St. Mary’s churchyard with its iconic yew trees.
The cottage itself is beautifully maintained and thoughtfully decorated. It strikes the perfect balance between rustic charm and modern comfort, with everything you could need for a relaxing stay. The kitchen is well-equipped, the beds are incredibly comfortable, and every corner of the cottage feels warm and welcoming.
Highly recommended for anyone wanting an authentic and cozy Cotswolds experience.
We can’t wait to return. ❤️

Beautiful location and very charming home. The interior was modern and got everything we needed to have a wonderful stay. Host provided all the information needed for the stay and the Cotswolds.
Washing machine had a mind of its own and did not always finish the program directly.

A lovely old cottage, with period features. I particularly liked features, which indicated that the cottage had been inhabited for a vast number of years.
No parking. The doorway was virtually blocked, the whole time, by two cars parked bumper to bumper and leaving virually no gap between them and the house, making it particularly difficult to bring in a pushchair and cases.
There was little storage space for dry food, this was not important for us because of the short length of our stay, but it might have been for a longer stay.

Beautiful cottage in a quiet village. Nicely presented in traditional style.
Second bathroom in the eaves with no stand-up shower - very difficult for adults to shower without soaking the whole room - plus no bath plug so unable to use the bath!
Parking can be an issue, particularly with local residents! (Not our parking, but some that parked outside the cottage!)

Very nicely decorated - plenty of room and space and lovely garden - great location.
Parking space outside was limited - thought there was more of a driveway to park one car but there was more of a free for all - and somebody else had taken the spaces…..

Beautiful cottage in the middle of a lovely village . Very tastefully decorated and furnished
Not enough room for 6 of us to sit together in either of the reception rooms snd we had to eat in the kitchen as the dining table was too small
The third double bed is very small .

Location
Seating areas not really suitable for a party of six adults. Not enough comfy chairs.

Beautiful furnishings and comfortable beds
No storage space for foodstuffs. Ideally suited to 3 people but 6 would not be able to eat together or spend time in a living room together

very pretty cottage in pretty town. Close to amenities but very quiet. beautifully furnished. well equipped. warm and comfortable
Lovely area. lots of walks. buses very useful. pub was great as was pizza van.
Parking is challenging especially with a big car but this is because the village is quaint so few wide roads. it was free but have to bear it in mind.
there are 2 lounges. if there were 6 of you , I'm not sure you would all fit in one lounge.
take wood!

Painswick is a magic place and Lovedays Cottage was idyllic. It was lovely to have milk bread and eggs waiting for us on our arrival. We had everything that we needed. Also the instructions as to where to park was very useful as Painswick isn't the easiest place to park.
Nothing.

Location , handy to visit other places, very clean and tidy with everything on hand . As winter the heating was easy to work. Lovely pack on arrival of local butter, bread , eggs and milk. Beautiful maintained enclosed back garden which was ideal and safe for the dogs. Great Sunday lunch at The Oak.
Has parking out the front for a car but was taken up the whole time , we were not guaranteed to park there but was penned in by another car and had difficulty getting out the front door.

The beds are comfortable, and the cottage is in a great location in the village. Close to a great cafe, and pubs. The Falcon Inn had great food.
Stairs are narrow for heavy baggage, but not really anything you can do about it. So it is.

The supply of local goodies, very convenient for exploring the Cotswolds. Had every thing we needed for a family of four. The lovely garden and nearby church with its amazing yews. Local convenience store. A very cosy home from home.
Cars parked too closely together outside making it difficult to enter with luggage and children, we had to squeeze through a very small gap to enter for our two night stay.
