Гостевой дом Коль-тор

We got an upgrade to the beautiful apartment with a master bedroom with huge windows and an uninterrupted, wonderful panorama on the mountains. Also included a sitting room and ensuite bathroom. Breakfast and dinner are good and fresh. The lady is very friendly. You can use the laundry machine for free. Close to the trailhead for the 7 hours hike (return) to the lake. Drive to the parking lot.

A bit hard to locate as there is no sign to show the place. We had to wait 2 hours before the hostes showed up You might need to call her.. But you can chill in the lush garden.

El personal fue muy amable. Aunque llegamos un poco tarde, nos esperaron, y además, como fueron unos días fríos, nos ofrecieron un apartamento mejor y más caliente. Se puede pedir cenar allí si lo avisas con antelación y la cena incluye un entrante, un plato caliente. postre y bebida por 600 soms (unos 6€), o te puedes preparar tu mismo la comida en el salón-comedor que tienen común. Muy cerca del comienzo de la ruta del lago Kol-Tor, así que perfecto si quieres hacer esta ruta de senderismo. De hecho, nosotros fuimos los primeros en llegar arriba ese día.

The location is perfect for accessing the Kegeti Valley and hiking to Kol Tor and/or heading to the waterfall in the next valley over. The views from the guesthouse are stunning. It felt more like a place for locals, but the staff were super accommodating and friendly, and we made the language difficulties work.

This is not a complaint, but it can be difficult to reach if you don’t have private transport and/or don’t want to pay for a taxi. A marshrutka runs from Bishkek’s Eastern Bus Station to Kegeti village but it’s still a 9-10 mile walk/hitch-hike to the guesthouse from there. The staff arranged a driver to take me to Burana Tower to explore the site, then I had him take me back to Bishkek. I paid him about 20usd. You could also take a marshrutka to Tokmok and arrange a taxi there.

Host is great. Meals are very big with a lot of choice. The view is amazing.

The walls are thin. If other guests are not mindful of that it is a bit annoying.
